They’re every hitter’s worst nightmare. Some of the top liberos in the 2025 class were in Indianapolis soaking up all the heat.
Here are some of the top liberos coming out of the 2023 Mid-East Qualifier.
Ella Vogel – Colorado Juniors (Florida)
You can’t go a perfect 10-0 on the weekend without some of the best defense in the gym. Between the blockers for Juniors and having Vogel in the back court, I give high praise to whoever can actually get a ball down on this ‘bros side of the net.
Ryan McAleer – Dynasty (Purdue)
Seeing the type of hitters McAleer has to see on the daily in practice, it’s no wonder how she makes it look so easy. McAleer’s defense is some of the best in the gym and her touch on the ball is always top tier.
Ava Falduto – 1st Alliance (Penn State)
Another future Big Ten libero in this one, Falduto is another premier libero in this age group. She was huge this weekend too, as 1st Alliance has been on the hunt for a bid, this was the weekend it all materialized. Due in large part to Falduto in the back court.
Isabelle Humphrey – Boiler Juniors (Auburn)
I simply cannot get enough of Humphrey. Her play in the back court can sometimes be silent, but is always so deadly. Humphrey’s is always a step ahead of the opponent and not much can fall on her. Humphrey played a huge role in Boiler Juniors snagging the bid this weekend.
Kiley Gallagher – Legacy
Gallagher is one of those underrated ‘bros in this class but you need to check her out. Her growth curve in the last year has been amazing to watch and she’s been doing some big things for Legacy as of late.
Hailey Green – Michigan Elite
Talk about underrated liberos, Green is for sure among the mix that people need to start taking notice. She’s the glue to this Michigan Elite team and she knows how to show up at the biggest moments.
