Prep Dig Scouted the match against Emporia and focused on three unsigned players. Two of them are seniors still looking for an opportunity to continue their playing careers. The other is a sophomore from the Class of 2025 who has been playing up.
Camryn Penny, 5’5”, MH, Blue Valley West
Take every metaphor or analogy about how high one can jump, and all of them apply to Camryn Penny. The Blue Valley West middle hitter is a jumper. She finished with seven kills and four blocks. She only played front row for her club team, but she is athletic enough that it seems she could play back row as well. Don’t let her size fool you, she can get up and block and hits the ball with authority.
Brooklyn Seidler Brooklyn Seidler 5'2" | DS/L Spring Hill | 2023 State KS , 5’2”, L, Spring Hill
Seidler had a double-double in the match scouted by Prep Dig, finishing with 15 digs and 13 serve receptions. She also added two assists and one ace. She has a nice serve with some heat behind it. She is an emotional leader for her team and quickly acknowledges her teammates after a great play. Seidler can play at the next level and is currently unsigned.
Raylee Saunders, 6’0”, MH, Gardner-Edgerton, ‘25
A young player on this squad is Raylee Saunders. She had two kills and two blocks. She is long and has a big reach. She is only a sophomore. Saunders does not have to be a leader on a team full of weapons. With multiple years of high school and club ball left, she will be a player for college coaches to keep an eye on.
