Olivia is an athlete who has an incredible amount of potentials. At 6’4″, she is a huge presence at the net. She played with Sting 16 Gold last season and played as a middle and right side. She is doing the same for Sting 17 Gold this year. Every time I see her she has leveled up her game in some way, whether it is her shots, blocking, speed, or any other aspect of the game.
Brooklyn is an impressive and well-rounded middle who continues to impress. She is explosive in her play, both on offense and defense. Her block is a great first line of defense for her team. She reads opposing hitters and sets her blocks up well. Brooklyn has a big vertical and a quick arm swing that earns points on offense.
Ella sets herself apart in several ways. First, she is a huge energizer on the court, she builds up her team around her and is a natural leader and communicator. Second, she reads opposing setters incredibly well. She is rarely wrong in her movement as a middle. At the Badger Qualifier, she was reading one of the best setters in this class and putting up key blocks against high-level hitters. Ella also adds value as a hitter. She has a toolbox of shots and tips that uses to earn points efficiently.
Natalia plays with Ella (above) on Sting 17 Black. They complement each other well. Natalia has a lot of power and a fast arm swing. She swings around opposing blocks well and is very offensively strong. She has a clean and impactful block and can be relied upon in big moments to execute for points.
Madison is such a fun athlete to watch. I haven’t had the opportunity to see her play yet this season, but she is an athlete I hope I get to see play more! Madison is a lefty middle. She is fairly small for a middle, but makes up for it with her monstrous vertical and high contact point. She can battle with the biggest middles out there because she is athletic, versatile, and smart.
Don’t sleep on Caitlyn Flees Caitlyn Flees MB Burlington | 2024 State WI . She is a high-flying and athletic middle with a high contact point and a quick, powerful snap on the ball. She can hit everything from a cut shot to deep corners without giving away her swing, making her very hard to defend. She sees the block in front of her very well and can hit a range of plays and tempos with seeming ease.
Kelsey is a powerhouse middle who swings well in front of and behind the setter. She has a lethal line shot off of a slide, and incredibly tough shot to hit. Kelsey adds a lot of value because she is also a solid server and defender. She has a massive block and sets herself up well on opposing hitters.
Ashley is a physical middle who finds a way to get the job done. Whether it is on offense or defense, she adds value on every play. She can play on the middle or the right side and can swing both in front of and behind the setter.
Lauren is a huge athletic presence at the net. She goes on big runs and is a momentum-changing athlete on the court. Lauren is the whole package as a middle. She is strong on defense and offense and is a great first contact on the ball at the net.
Audrey is a very well-rounded middle. She is lethal in pass to attack and transitions fast off the net. She is brings a lot of energy to the court and makes impactful plays. Audrey also is great at seeing the other side of the court and making quick, impactful decisions with her shots.
