Day 1 Recap of JVA Worlds, part 2

Here are three teams from the 16 Premier and 16 Club divisions that went undefeated yesterday.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:heading --> <h2 class="wp-block-heading">16 Premier: Empowered 16 Elite Black</h2> <!-- /wp:heading --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Focused in the Fort Wayne area in northeastern Indiana, Empowered produces talent at all positions and all graduating classes year-in and year-out. <strong>[player_tooltip player_id='332516' first='Alyssa' last='Hall'] ('25, 5-11 MB, Homestead)</strong> is yet another high-flying big from Homestead that controls the middle with her athleticism and terminal ability. <strong>[player_tooltip player_id='332517' first='Maggie' last='Hollon'] ('25, 5-10 OH, Warsaw)</strong> is developing into a six-rotation outside on her own terms, and can put balls away from either pin. <strong>[player_tooltip player_id='378034' first='Kate' last='Jacquay'] ('25, 5-10 S, Carroll)</strong> can run a 5-1 on her own or be a big and physical 6-2 setter that can go get the tight passes other 6-2 setters just can't.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:heading --> <h2 class="wp-block-heading">16 Premier: CVBC 16-1 Ballers</h2> <!-- /wp:heading --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Based out of Seymour, Indiana, this small club is anything but a "regional". This exact group won the 15 Premier division last season at AAUs, and they do it with a high level of athleticism and volleyball acuity. Three kids from Trinity Lutheran, an annual 1A power, are main cogs on this roster. <strong>[player_tooltip player_id='157945' first='Carson' last='Bowling'] ('25, 5-10 MB, Trinity Lutheran)</strong> can do anything she wants on the attack, but is seeing more time in the middle because of her jumping ability. <strong>[player_tooltip player_id='160069' first='Addison' last='Darlage'] ('25, 5-7 S, Trinity Lutheran)</strong> plays bigger than her size indicates and can run a 5-1 just as efficiently as her taller counterparts. <strong>[player_tooltip player_id='378035' first='Laura' last='Roeder'] ('25, 5-5 DS/L, Trinity Lutheran)</strong> wears the libero jersey with pride and has already seen open- and championship-level volleyball in her short career.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:heading --> <h2 class="wp-block-heading">16 Club: Munciana 16 Tigers</h2> <!-- /wp:heading --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>With the entire roster listed between 5-1 and 5-7, this small but mighty bunch prides themselves on ball control first. With all things being equal, I can't imagine a different pair of setters on this roster than <strong>[player_tooltip player_id='378036' first='Emma' last='Hull'] ('25, 5-5 S, Madison Grant)</strong> and <strong>[player_tooltip player_id='378037' first='Kiyani' last='Knox-Dawkins'] ('25, 5-3 S, Pike).</strong> Each have fast feet, high hands and the ability to run an offense either alone or as part of a 6-2. This team will live and die with the abilities of their setters.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph -->
