We saved the deepest position for last with our watch list preview. There are players all across the state who has shown they can score, block, play stellar defense, and pass in this class. Today we take a peek at some of these players selected from a random draw.

[player_tooltip player_id='357615' first='Piper' last='Bahr'] - Lee's Summit North/Invasion

Bahl is a baller. I saw her a couple of weeks ago and she can fill it up with the best of them on the left pin. She brings the thunder and can show her off-speed game with tips and roll shots. She is also a good blocker for a 2026. The freshman finished third on the team in kills last fall behind two seniors, so she will be counted on to carry a larger load in 2023.

[player_tooltip player_id='222075' first='Sydni' last='Lafasciano'] - Park Hill South/Dynasty

I remember seeing this pin as a 7th grader officiating a middle school game and I said then she was going to be the next great player in the Northland in Kansas City. She hasn't disappointed and is a top-10 player in this class. A six-rotation player who has grown in the passing department plays for Dynasty 15 Black. She had 372 kills and 353 digs in her first season of high school ball.

[player_tooltip player_id='237014' first='Maeve' last='Rush'] - Rock Bridge/HPSTL

Rush is a dynamic pin taking most of her swings from the right side for HPSTL 15 Royal this year but can also swing from the left pin. She made the journey east for her club season after playing west the year before. The Rock Bridge product saw action in 43 sets as a freshman for a talented and experienced team.

[player_tooltip player_id='232216' first='Lyla' last='Beetsma'] - Chillicothe

Chillicothe welcomed the freshman in with open arms and she made them proud seeing action in 93 sets and putting up solid numbers to the tune of 225 kills and 277 digs.

[player_tooltip player_id='232218' first='Rilyn' last='Conard'] - Bishop Leblond/Hype VBC

Conard showed she's ready for the big stage after a breakout freshman season. She averaged just under 3 kills per set on her way to 280 kills on the year. She was equally as good defensively with 290 digs.

[player_tooltip player_id='222578' first='Georgia' last='Hite'] - Burroughs/[program_tooltip program_id='428799' first='Rockwood' last='Thunder']

Hite plays a little middle and pin for [program_tooltip program_id='428799' first='Rockwood' last='Thunder']'s 15 White team. She has tremendous upside and has shown good potential this club season. She had 180 kills, good for second on the team for John Burroughs.

[player_tooltip player_id='261297' first='Emma' last='Keele'] - St. Dominic/[program_tooltip program_id='428799' first='Rockwood' last='Thunder']

Keele has all the tools you look for in a player. She has a high volleyball IQ, which you see when she's on the floor. One thing I like about her game is her out-of-system swings.

[player_tooltip player_id='357573' first='Vada' last='Brattin'] - Park Hill South/Club North

Park Hill South was a pretty young team last year with freshmen and sophomores contributing in many areas. Brattin was one of those freshmen that did her part with 65 kills on the year. She has looked good on the pin for Club North this winter.

[player_tooltip player_id='229558' first='Maggie' last='Smith'] - Marquette/[program_tooltip program_id='428799' first='Rockwood' last='Thunder']

Smith has been impressive this club season for Rockwood. The right-side has demonstrated she can score but it's been her defense that's stood out when watching her play. She's long and does a good job of pressing over the net to send balls back.

Cate McCullough - IWA/[program_tooltip program_id='428799' first='Rockwood' last='Thunder']

78 sets and 78 kills, easy math there for 1 kill per set, which isn't too shabby for a freshman in their first season. She also added 29 blocks at the net as an opposite. She plays for [program_tooltip program_id='428799' first='Rockwood' last='Thunder'] 15 White in 2023.
