While the masses gathered at Bartle Hall for the Show Me National Qualifier, in Kansas City, Missouri on April 2, I was scouting the 16 Select Division during the Sunflower Slam at the Lawrence Sports Pavilion.

Kinsley Mohan and Madison Morris both played solid volleyball in the Fury's 25-21, 25-14 victory over a short-handed SEK Smash 15-1 team that suited up just six players.

The 16-2 team for the Topeka Fury finished the day with a 5-1 match record after losing in Gold Bracket play.

This is the second report of multiple reports to come from the 16 Select Division play in Lawrence.

Kinsley Mohan, 5'7”, S/RS, Shawnee Heights, ‘25

Mohan has a solid tip game and is a quality setter. She finished with five kills, three digs, and one serve reception. The Shawnee Heights product is quick and communicates well on the court. Mohan is also a quality softball player who will have multiple coaches from multiple sports recruiting her.

Madison Morris, 5'5”, S/RS, Shawnee Heights, ‘25

Morris finished the match with three kills, three serve receptions, and one dig. She has an accurate serve and communicated well on the court.

[player_tooltip player_id='261108' first='Hailee' last='Townsend'], 5'7”, MH/OH, Seaman, ‘25

Townsend arguably is the best athlete on the Fury team. She finished with two kills, two digs, two serve receptions, and one block. She can jump and has a nice reach. She will gain vast experience in both playing and practicing with her teammates at perineal state contender Seaman.

Chassis Baker, 5'7”, MH, Parsons, ‘25

The SEK-Smash's most athletic player, by far, was Chassis Baker. The Parsons prospect had four kills, three blocks, three serve receptions, and one ace. She is a strong athlete with a good reach. As she continues to improve her blocking skills she should receive solid attention from college scouts and coaches.
