The Motor City Madness Showcase took place last Friday in Pontiac.

It was a great opportunity for prospects looking to get a few more college eyes on them.

The Class of 2025 was the largest group at the showcase and each prospect brought strengths to the court.

Here's a look at Part 2 of our 2025 player evaluations.

[player_tooltip player_id='223048' first='Avery' last='Nance'], DS/L St. Francis/FaR Out

Nance was another solid prospects from the Northern Michigan area. She was one of the biggest hustle players at the showcase. Nance was one defender that you saw hitting the floor frequently to make plays, but did so in a strategic way to get the best pass possible.

[player_tooltip player_id='384508' first='Hanna' last='Pardon'], OH Brandon/Unified

[player_tooltip player_id='384508' first='Hanna' last='Pardon']

Pardon definitely had a breakout performance at the showcase. She proved to be one of the strongest pin hitters during the event. Pardon was able to attacks really sharp angles and consistently deliver powerful attacks with in and out-of-system balls. It wasn't just about hitting for Pardon either, she moved very well around the court and had a promising defensive game.

[player_tooltip player_id='236712' first='Chelsea' last='Pearce'], DS/L Mattawan/USA Michigan

Pearce can be somewhat of an unassuming player. She remains calm during drills, but then really turns up the athleticism when 6-on-6 play gets started. Pearce has incredible hustle and makes a lot of athletic plays in the back row. When being put into different positions, Pearce showed she had the ability to transition easily and still make solid plays on offense.

[player_tooltip player_id='224603' first='Anna' last='Rich'], S Troy/High Performance

Rich has a lot of tools in her toolkit. A smooth and consistent setter, Rich also has the skillset to play on the outside with a solid left-handed swing. Rich moves very well and decisively around the court, which helps her as a setter and hitter. Rich also plays with a lot of hustle, which allows her to make challenging defensive plays.

[player_tooltip player_id='156328' first='Samantha' last='Roffi'], S Garden City/Michigan Elite

Roffi had a good feel for the hitters she worked with and read the court well. She placed her sets in great position on a consistent basis. When it came to taking some swings, Roffi and some really surprising power and velocity. Her defense was really sound as well, allowing her to be one of the stronger all-around talents at the showcase.

[player_tooltip player_id='459245' first='Kate' last='Schneider'], MH L'Anse Creuse North/Crank It

[player_tooltip player_id='459245' first='Kate' last='Schneider']

Schneider is an athletic, 6-foot middle that had an impressive swing. Her arm speed was as strong as anyone else at the showcase and Schneider was able to deliver consistent power on her attacks. When going up against other hitters, Schneider powered through blocks and definitely created highlight-reel moments.

Kira Slaughter, DS/L Mt. Pleasant/Michigan Elite

Slaughter had a different sound to her serve receiving and digs. She always got the ball to hit the meat of her forearm, leading to a nice thud and a solid pass. Slaughter was one of the best at being able to square up to the ball and make consistent feeds to her setters. She also put a solid strike on each of her serves.

[player_tooltip player_id='288965' first='Liliana' last='Smith'], S Flushing/Michigan Elite

Smith is a 5'11” setter that makes her sets look pretty effortless, yet still quite effective. Smith had a very light touch on the ball and was able to run a quick-paced offense that featured a lot of powerful swings. Speaking of swings, Smith also was a powerful arm in her own right. Her court awareness and technical skills made her a real solid prospect.
