The future of the state of Michigan volleyball looks great, as these players all showed a lot of drive and determination to go with their raw talent.
Here’s our second part of our 2026 player evaluations from the showcase.
Lana Grabiec, DS/L Mott/Michigan Elite
Grabiec showed a lot of growth throughout the two-hour showcase. She looked a little timid at first, but then got more comfortable and started to display her potential. She improved her reaction time and had a good first step to the play. Her ability to square up to the ball led to a lot of accurate passes. Grabiec was also a vocal and supportive player, encouraging all her peers.
Charlotte Gramzow Charlotte Gramzow 5'10" | OH Lutheran Northwest | 2026 State MI , DS/L Lutheran High NW/Michigan Elite
Gramzow is a defender with a little more length than most at the position. The 5’9” libero is able to use that added length to cover a lot of space and get herself into good position to make the tough digs. You can’t ever question Gramzow’s hustle either, she puts her all into the position and has developed into a really solid 2026 prospect.
Marleigh Hemstreet Marleigh Hemstreet 5'10" | S Linden | 2026 State MI , S Linden/High Performance
Hemstreet was another effort player that put her all into each rep and each point. Her footwork can use a little improvement, but she did make up for that with good setting decisions and accurate feeds. Hemstreet also had good communication on the court and was able to direct her hitters well.
Emma Keeping Emma Keeping 5'11" | S Imlay City | 2026 State MI , S Imlay City/Michigan Elite
Keeping is an impressive 5’10” setting prospect. She was very calm, comfortable and confident throughout the showcase. She had a great connection with all her hitters that she worked with. Her sets had nice touch and good location. Keeping looked in full command of an offense and seems like a natural floor general.
Nadia Murray, OH Rochester Adams/High Performance
Murray was consistently one of the strongest hitters at the showcase in terms of power. She didn’t have to get high off the ground to deliver a lot of velocity on her attacks. Murray was all over the left pin and putting away points against strong blockers.
Gracelynn Olson Gracelynn Olson 5'8" | S Fruitport | 2026 State MI , S Fruitport/FaR Out
Olson was another setter that seemed laser focused during the showcase. She never looked rattled and had consistently strong sets. Olson also had the active eyes to be able to read her defenders and know where to place the ball. She also showcased a lot of solid defensive ability that makes her a complete player at the setter position.
Abbigayl Sells Abbigayl Sells 5'3" | DS/L Lake Fenton | 2026 State MI , DS/L Lake Fenton/HPVBC
Sells was a scrappy defender that has shown a lot of strides in her game. She came through with some very difficult digs during the showcase because she just simply made the effort to get to the ball at all costs. I liked the focus and determination she showed, especially as the pace of play picked up later in the showcase.
