These hitters excelled during the tournament as well, with several helping their teams to high finishes. The season is hurtling towards Regionals, then post-season play and Nationals. These prospects are continuing to impress as their teams continue to improve.
Martin followed up her good play at the Pacific Northwest Qualifier with an even better performance in the SLC Showcase and the Showdown itself. She showed an increased defensive game as the off-blocker, and of course, is a big-time wall on the right side. The lefty is dialing in her transition footwork, and her high contact point provides a terminal swing that many teams can’t stop.

Wilber had great energy throughout the showcase, and the Puyallup junior stood out with her hard work and powerful arm swing. At the tournament itself, NPJ Seattle has some games where Wilber featured as the key attacker, and she brought it against the 17 USA division. If an opposing block was not well-formed, Wilber would power right through it or crank it off the block and into the next court. She showed a nice cut-angle shot and is excellent at playing the ball overhand as the off-blocker.
The class of 2024 attacker from Issaquah is a smart player who anticipates well and reads the block in front of her. She can bring the heat from both pins, and she showed a super quick transition for her Dakine 16 team. Her speed gets her off the net and up in the air quickly and lets her setters find her at nearly zero tempo, and she will hammer off the block when it’s late to close. Miller’s movement defensively is smooth and she has a fundamentally sound platform when passing the ball.

Rylee Booth
Rylee Booth
The six-rotation Seattle Juniors outside hitter has a polished all-around game. She will take aggressive swings from the back row and is smart with her shots when a set is tight. We saw Booth put pressure on opposing setters when she has to send over a free ball or shot, forcing the defense out of system. She is a solid defender from the middle back position, watching Booth against NPJ Portland, she read the hitters and her blockers correctly. She plays with emotion and fires up her team when she scores off a huge swing.
Madison Bland | 2024 | RS | Canyon Ridge (ID) | Idaho Crush
The lefty out of Idaho was featured as a Top Performer at the Showcase. Bland is long, has great footwork, and is a terminal opposite. An outstanding prospect from the Gem State!
