Rev 15-2 Lions, 15 USA
Time and again, the 1s team in this age group for Rev has met and exceeded every challenge thrown at them. But what about the Lions? Three kids immediately come to mind, starting with Denver Garner (’26, 5-11 RS, Hamilton Southeastern). Although she’s listed as strictly a right side on Rev’s roster, she can easily attack from both pins and has the length and strength to make most blocks at this level irrelevant. Leah Kay Leah Kay 5'10" | MB Mount Vernon | 2026 State IN (’26, 5-9 MB, Mount Vernon) and Molly McAndrews Molly McAndrews 5'9" | MB Westfield | 2026 State IN (’26, 5-9 MB, Westfield) make up for their lack of size with length, strength and quick transitioning.
Team Indiana Elite 15.2, 15 Liberty
This squad plays a full schedule, and takes on all comers to remain competitive every weekend. Karlin Burton Karlin Burton 5'7" | OH Shelbyville | 2027 State IN (’27, 5-7 OH, Shelbyville) comes from a school not known for their volleyball, but you wouldn’t know it watching her play. She defends her position well, attacks at her max jump, can receive serve and is an all-around solid choice for a six-rotation outside. Hanna Stewart Hanna Stewart 5'4" | DS/L Franklin Community | 2026 State IN (’26, 5-4 DS/L, Franklin Community) is a quick and athletic three-rotation defender for this squad, but could be the libero on any other team at this level. Her anticipation and court awareness are exceptional for this age group, and she should be a factor in this roster doing well this weekend. Emerson VanGorder Emerson VanGorder 6'0" | MB Zionsville | 2026 State IN (’26, 6-0 MB, Zionsville) is the big kid on this roster, who defends her position well. She’s still working on putting all of the pieces together offensively; in the short time I’ve seen her play this season, she seemingly improves with every passing tournament. It won’t be long before that skill set turns the heads of college coaches.
