It’s every players’ dream of putting on the jersey of their dream school. For these 2023 and 2024 kids, this dream has become a near reality this fall.
These last few weeks have been abundant of big announcements. The hunt for nearly all of the 2023 class has concluded and they will be off to their next adventure in the fall. For the 2024s, many have found that perfect fit and will be taking their talents to the next level.
Let’s take a look at just where the top athletes in Michigan found their calling these last few weeks.
Kennedy Louisell

to UNCG High Point
6’0 OH – Forest Hills Northern/Legacy (FaR Out)
Now, we reported in the fall that this live wire would be heading south to UNCG. With a change of heart, Louisell isn’t moving very far. In fact, she’s only going to school a whole 20 minutes further south in North Carolina. This comes as a huge pick up for High Point however, after losing their leading scorer Sydney Palazzolo to Notre Dame.
Remi Madison Remi Madison 5'9" | OH Grand Blanc | 2023 State MI to Northern Michigan
5’10 OH – Grand Blanc/Michigan Elite
Many have been waiting a LONG time to see where this high flier was going. Madison has one of the fastest arm swings in the gym and she’ll be heading up north to Marquette, MI. Madison is a big time get for this program as well. The Wildcats come into 2023 after finishing second in the 2022 GLIAC regular season and earning an NCAA Tournament at-large.
Sawyer Jones Sawyer Jones 6'0" | MB Berkley | 2023 State MI to Butler
6’0 OPP/MB – Berkley/Michigan Elite
This is another player that had many wondering, “where is she going to go?!” This announcement may be the last of this senior class, as Jones announced not even a week ago, she’ll be going to Butler. Under the new leadership of Kyle Shondell, Jones has the opportunity to make impact right away. With the additions of both Jones and Shondell, Butler is a program on the rise.
Hannah Howard Hannah Howard 5'5" | DS/L St. Ursula (Toledo) | 2023 State OH to Eastern Michigan
5’6 L – St. Ursula Academy (Toledo)/Michigan Elite
New coaches? No problem. Eastern Michigan has not only got one, not two, but three recent big time commits. Manning down the back court, Howard joins an Eagles squad that returns only one DS in the fall. This leaves a lot of room for this libero to come in and take the reigns under new head coach, Kevin Foeman.
Aubreigh Oswald Aubreigh Oswald 6'2" | MB Lowell | 2023 State MI to Eastern Michigan
6’2 MB – Lowell/MVA (FaR Out)
Anotha one! Joining the party this fall down in Ypsilanti is another big time prospect, Aubreigh Oswald Aubreigh Oswald 6'2" | MB Lowell | 2023 State MI . Between the likes of Howard and Oswald, the defense of this Eagles squad should be pretty solid for years to come. One of the top middle blockers in the Michigan 2023 class, Oswald brings a lot of physicality and championship experience to this program. Much like her incoming counterpart, Oswald could see big playing time right off the bat with only one returning middle blocker.
