Although in less than a month a lot of these athletes will be getting hit up by college coaches when June 15 rolls around, marking the official start of recruiting for the Class of 2025. Of these athletes, many of them are going to be contacted by high level college coaches. There may not be the old school phonebook anymore (do high school kids know what that even is?), but there will be plenty of spreadsheets to sort by last name, location, priority, and plenty more. However, I’m bringing it back to the 90s where its a phonebook of 2025 prospects to take a look at on a national scale.
Highlights
I saw Beauford play last year multiple times and really got to see her shine on the final two days of the 15 Open championships at USAV. There were times where she was setting and blocking out of the middle. The big highlight was an electric quarterfinal win against rival Houston Skyline. This year she has been the go-to setter for Drive Nation 16 Red where they will head into Chicago as a dangerous threat to the field. One of her top targets is Suli Davis who is one of the top all around athletes in the Class of 2025. Beauford will be the cool, calm, collected force that will pace this team along the way.
We can’t forget about the athletes playing up a class. Isabelle Brown Isabelle Brown 5'9" | S Avon | 2025 State #101 Nation IN is a standout setter in the Class of 2025 in Indiana who has been playing up on the Circle City 17s team. She is a pure gamer, she can get it done with the moment is big. Her dynamic play is one of her best attributes. Staying in Circle City, we have Logan Bell Logan Bell 5'11" | OH Roncalli | 2025 State #24 Nation IN . Circle City always trains their outsides to be top notch passers and that’s what Logan Bell Logan Bell 5'11" | OH Roncalli | 2025 State #24 Nation IN does. She can serve receive with the best of them and can score points from the outside. Her style of play is electric where she has positive intangibles in her favor, great interactions with teammates, and is someone who can grind every point. Circle City will head to the Prep Dig Gauntlet this weekend in Milwaukee where some of the top 16s teams will be in the house that include Northern Lights, Michigan Elite, and Milwaukee Sting to name a few.
Another top notch setter coming out of Texas. Brown is another one I noticed in the 15 Open field in 2022 where she was really impressive. She showed no fear in the first match in that first match against Arizona Storm and the same can be said for what she has shown in 2023. Her game starts out with great footwork, she gets her feet to the spot before the ball and can dish all the tempos from there. Brown is also really strong out of system where she can go to either pin and isn’t afraid to set the middle when she is pulled off the net. One of her favorite targets is on the outside with Parker Duncan who is along and athletic with the ability to score from the backrow as well.
These two pin attackers were part of a balanced squad from Michigan Elite that earned them an at large bid into 16 Open at USAV in early July. Busignani does it in all six rotations, but does most of her scoring from the outside where she has an electric arm and the ability to score points using a variety of shots. She has the blend of speed and finesse to get it done for her side of the net. Babinski has been used as a right side and has a cannon for an arm. She is able to create attack angles where she can have a high contact point that will find an open spot in the deep cross corner or paint the line. Michigan Elite 16 Mizuno will be in the hunt for a 16s title this upcoming weekend at the Prep Dig Gauntlet where they will start building their momentum into what will be a busy June for these athletes who will have an exciting recruiting process.
Solid, consistent, dependable. Bryant has been a big part of the HJV 16 Elite squad who has notched some big wins over this past season. She is extremely well trained starting with her footwork from transitioning off the net into being fast to the ball. She hits with a high contact point which allows her to hit at a variety of angles, but she can also find the open spots deep in the court. HJV 16 Elite has punched their ticket to 16 Open Nationals and are always a tough matchup with their physicality and power.

I saw Blotzer at Triple Crown in one of the best matches of the year when I saw Wave defeat A5 in three sets to advance in the top tournament in the country. Blotzer was outstanding with how she could fly on the pin and continuously found ways to score. I didn’t even realize at the time she was playing up an age level and being one of the top players on the court in the top tournament at the time. She has a big upside with how she can find ways to score points from the pin in big moments. California is never short on top six rotation outsides, but Blotzer is one where coaches will be looking to get in touch with in a few weeks.

This Northern Lights team has so much depth and balance, they are going to be a tough team to beat when it comes to the tournaments that last over four days. They have multiple attackers who can put the ball away as well as really solid ball control. The typical Northern Lights brand of volleyball. Mesaiya Bettis Mesaiya Bettis 6'0" | OH Burnsville | 2025 State #28 Nation MN is rising as one of the top attackers in the Class of 2025. She doesn’t take a heavy volume of swings as she doesn’t need to, but she is highly efficient and versatile. She can do it from both pins and has a huge upside. The Northern Lights 16-1 squad will have some fun matchups this weekend at the Prep Dig Gauntlet.
