With many 18U teams done for the season, both the 18 Open and 18 Club divisions are loaded with 17U squads. Two notable exceptions in the 18 Open are the one seed WVBA 18 Adidas, and the two seed, PSVBA 18 Legacy. These two teams should be the favorites to meet for the championship on Monday, the teams are deep, experienced, and loaded with college commitments. PSVBA Legacy plays terrific defense and works a ball-control game, WVBA has excellent attackers and is relentless when they have a team on the ropes. [player_tooltip player_id='97301' first='Olivia' last='Deckard'], [player_tooltip player_id='97299' first='Celia' last='Dowell'], [player_tooltip player_id='246278' first='Emery' last='DeJong'], and [player_tooltip player_id='97226' first='Isabella' last='Christensen'] are just a few of the fun players to watch from these two teams. NPJ Seattle National comes in with the highest seed of the 17 age group, we preview the team below.

A recent second place finish at the PSR Regional and excellent Power League play all season give this team great momentum heading into the ECC. They will have a day one match-up against a skilled 2 seed in CPA 17 Drew. The two teams met recently at the Salt Lake City Showdown, with CPA securing the victory.

She can run a slide and can either take a big swing cross-court or reach up and gently drop in a tip if the set is offline. When opposing middles don't attack aggressively against her, Remington can swallow them up on the block. She reads the setter and hitter with her eyes and does a nice job defending against dumps and soft shots from both.","_player_evaluations_0_evaluation":"field_62aba51aecf34","player_evaluations_1_player":["388513"],"_player_evaluations_1_player":"field_62ab9d62ecf2c","player_evaluations_1_override_profile_image":"","_player_evaluations_1_override_profile_image":"override-player-profile-image","player_evaluations_1_not_in_database":"","_player_evaluations_1_not_in_database":"field_62aba48cecf2d","player_evaluations_1_evaluation":"The middle from Tahoma is very strong, with a block that is rock solid and tough to power through for opposing attackers. Her swing is powerful, she generates good torque at the point of impact and has a very nice shot selection when she attacks on the right side. Kimball is a plus server and plays defense behind that serve. It's great to watch a middle with skills in the back row and the service line. She is at her best along the net, of course, she racks up points as an attacker and blocker.","_player_evaluations_1_evaluation":"field_62aba51aecf34","player_evaluations_2_player":["394680"],"_player_evaluations_2_player":"field_62ab9d62ecf2c","player_evaluations_2_override_profile_image":"","_player_evaluations_2_override_profile_image":"override-player-profile-image","player_evaluations_2_not_in_database":"","_player_evaluations_2_not_in_database":"field_62aba48cecf2d","player_evaluations_2_evaluation":"Johnson is too quick to drop an easy tip on, you definitely need to sell it and find a great spot to fool the junior from Auburn Mountainview. She is versatile and athletic, playing as a setter and right side during the school season, libero looks to be a great positional fit. She will deliver highlight one handed digs, but takes care of the fundamental back line skills as well. Johnson is delivering passes in serve receive and free ball situations that are on target and have the tempo needed to run a fast offense. NPJ Seattle 17 are at their best running super quick tempo, and Johnson's defense has been key to making that happen.","_player_evaluations_2_evaluation":"field_62aba51aecf34","player_evaluations":3,"_player_evaluations":"field_62aba7547dc44"},"mode":"edit","alignText":"left","anchor":"acf-block-64695dc4bbf95"} /-->

She had some excellent matches at the PSR Regional tournament, The junior from Lake Washington has got it rolling as the season has progressed, clicking with her two setters on inside sets and out of the pipe. Her defense out of the middle back has been equally as important, allowing NPJ to run the rest of their high-flying hitters when McMaster is in the back row.
The hitters have two skilled setters dishing out assists, [player_tooltip player_id='254818' first='Kayleigh-Shay' last='Chang'] and [player_tooltip player_id='251774' first='Isabel' last='Cai'] are experienced, athletic, and have great location. Right side [player_tooltip player_id='192532' first='Rylie' last='Hangca'] is a tough left-handed matchup on the pin, and [player_tooltip player_id='249345' first='Simone' last='Grieser'] is just as difficult to deal with! The team runs 13 deep and the depth is there to find a hot hand off the bench if needed. On the outside, [player_tooltip player_id='222799' first='Quincy' last='Moran'] recently committed to Eastern Washington University in the Big Sky, and [player_tooltip player_id='245156' first='Rebecca' last='Wilber'] and [player_tooltip player_id='251547' first='Hedia' last='Lewis'] are both powerful, smart attackers.
