The event was held at the Faith West Academy, in Katy, and reunited 15 teams from the Houston and San Antonio areas in the 15s age group. It was an amazing opportunity to see new faces as most of the teams entered don’t typically compete in the major events and there were plenty of intriguing names in action during the day.
We’re presenting the most exciting prospects that were in action over the week and this time we’ll list the right side hitters who performed well:
Hadley Socha
Hadley Socha
Socha displayed great quality playing on the right for tournament winners H Skyline 15 Silver. With good size and a heavy right arm, she battled opposing blockers all day, getting on the ball a lot, and managed to put the ball down on most occasions. Socha used her high contact point and athleticism as her main tools to score points, but also displayed some interesting resources, such as tips and sharp angles, when needed. She proved to be a good blocker too, using her arms to put pressure on opponents at the net, and had some good serving runs.
Camryn Smith

Smith offered TX Legacy 15 Adidas a big presence on the right and helped the team finish in second place in the event. She was among the team’s tallest players and also has some very long arms to work with, which further increases her reach at the net. Smith had very good moments with her blocking, sealing her area of the court and making life harder for opposing hitters. On offense, she displayed interesting firepower and was hard to stop because of her high contact point. Despite her size, the right side hitter was very mobile and showed some nice footwork.
Emery Molder

Also capable of playing as a middle, Molder lined up on the right for KVA 15 Blue and contributed to the team’s fourth-place finish campaign. She’s not the most physical or taller right side hitter, but is very scrappy in the way she plays, finding ways to put the ball down regardless of the situation. Molder is very effective with her tips and does a very good job when hitting sharp angle in tighter sets. She has good mobility on the court and superior ball control, handling well free balls and playing solid defense. Molder also played with a lot of passion and her celebrations often ignited her teammates.
Eden Wray
Eden Wray
Wray played with Texas Twisters 15 Royal and her firepower on the right helped the team secure a third-place finish in the tournament. A very physical player, she has tremendous power on her offense when she gets to make good contact with the ball. A lefty, Wray was smart to turn to tips and shots when she wasn’t in a good position to score, keeping the ball in play and avoiding errors. She also did a very good job with her blocking and had good moments from the service line.
