Lone Star Regionals signifies the end of the "regular season" in a way. For some teams is the last shot at a bid and for others, it's the last tournament of the season. I watched a lot of volleyball over the weekend and here are star studded stand outs from all age ranges and all positions.

Addison Reus - Alamo 15 Premier

Alamo has been impressive all year to be sure, but a new name for me is libero Addison Reus who has taken over the position by storm. She was pivotal in Alamo's win over TAV Houston in the championship game and showed a lot of range on defense, making fast reads and picking up everything. Addison is a face for me, but I instantly remembered her name while watching her play. She is a player that goes in and makes an immediate impact and is a huge asset to an already stacked Alamo team. I can not wait to see their performance at Nationals.

[player_tooltip player_id='186236' first='Lusia' last='Langi'] - United VBA 17 Purple

A huge reason for United 17 Purple's championship at LSR was because of ther performance of [player_tooltip player_id='186236' first='Lusia' last='Langi']. She was unstoppable from the middle position, and her fast arm swing was lethal at the net. She made several huge plays that gained her team momentum and sealed the deal in the 3rd set. Lusia has gotten better game by game over the course of this club season, and her gritty determination sets her a part from the rest.

[player_tooltip player_id='268779' first='Zora' last='Bello'] - HJV 15 Premier

[player_tooltip player_id='268779' first='Zora' last='Bello'] has been one of my favorites through out the season, not just in her skill, but in her no-quit attitude. She is so versatile, and doesn't just bring setting to the table. She is an equal on the offensive front and can bounce balls down the line. She has a lot of volleyball IQ, and often played 6 rotations for her team. She is on the short list of A-List setters in the state of Texas who can really do it all.

[player_tooltip player_id='254284' first='Olivia' last='Jones'] - AVA 16 Adidas

[player_tooltip player_id='254284' first='Olivia' last='Jones'] doesn't get enough credit for the work that she does on this team! After watching her at LSR, her aggressive back row, solid serve receive, constant communication, and creative offense is what stood out to me. She isn't the tallest person on the court, but she definitely "plays big" with her confidence and aggressive arm swing. With AVA 16 Adidas being totally stacked in every position, it is hard to stand out on the court. Olivia managed to get my attention and keep it while watching her team play.

[player_tooltip player_id='180535' first='Ava' last='Steffe'] - Skyline 16 Royal

Talk about massive improvement from December, outside hitter [player_tooltip player_id='180535' first='Ava' last='Steffe'] has improved her game imensily from all angles. She is a solid 6 rotation option now and can terminate on the pin from almost any set. She has grown defensively and is consistant in serve receive. She stands out on a team with a lot of talent and is always making improvements to her game and her IQ. She will be one to watch at Nationals.

Super high-flyer and hype-man [player_tooltip player_id='254165' first='Jaidyn' last='Hartsfield'] is the player everyone wants on their team. She brings a lot to the table with her versatility as a setter, defender, and right side hitter, there are plenty of places she can make you say "wow". She is an excellent blocker and her offensive IQ is very high. She knows when and where to put the ball to score. Her pure athleticism is fully transformed into an elite volleyball player, but her intangibles of competitiveness make her stand out from the rest.
