There are, however, still some good tournaments going on around the state of Texas and one of them will take place this weekend, when TAV hosts the May Madness in Lewisville. We’re taking a look at some of the most promising names that will be in action during the weekend in Lewisville and in our last positional article, let’s point out some right side hitters who will be in high demand:
An offensive player who combines physical and technical tools in the perfect proportion, Moore will line up on the right for Madfrog ‘ last=”] 15’s N Green. Ranked first in her position in our Class of 2026 Prep Dig State Rankings, she has an extremely well-developed offensive game, with intensity, finesse and outstanding decision-making. A lefty, she can find every possible angle from the right and does an excellent job of hitting around the block. A tremendous jumper, Moore also mixes things up a bit every once in a while, catching defenders off guard with her tips. She’s also a fantastic jumper, using her vertical and her long arms to put pressure on opposing hitters up at the net.

‘Geli’ St. Laurent is one of the most powerful right side hitters to have emerged in the class of 2026 in Texas. The Drive Nation 15 Red prospect plays with tremendous intensity and is very difficult to stop on the right. From the first step in her approach, it’s easy to anticipate how high St. Laurent will get up at the net because of the amount of energy she puts into it. She makes contact with the ball at a very high point and doesn’t hold anything back in her swing either. Geli can hit all sorts of different sets, quicker or higher, on the right or the middle, and is also a very strong blocker, who uses her hangtime to stay in the way of opposing pin hitters.

A high-flying right side hitter, Salfiti will be on the court with Madfrog ‘ last=”] 16’s N Green. She has all the shots from the right and puts tremendous power in her swings when she hits angle or line, placing opposing blockers in a tough spot. Salfiti’s left hand is incredibly skilled and she can also hit sharp angle at ease, going around the block. She puts a lot of energy into her approach and gets the floor well, always making contact with the ball in front of her body for added power. The right side hitter also makes a strong impact with her blocking and can set when at the backcourt too.
Capable of playing on either pin, VanVoorhis has been mostly used on the right with TAV 16 Black this season. She’s a very complete offensive player, who can score in a variety of ways and who often makes good decisions when set at the net. VanVoorhis does a very good of adjusting her approach according to the location, being able to hit shorter sets with the same efficiency and even hitting line – she’s also very effective when hitting in the middle. Although her blocking is not extremely tall, it’s always well-structured, closing her area of the court very well.
One of the most talked-about right side hitters in the state of Texas, Carroll moved to a new club this season, playing with Drive Nation 17 Red. She’s extremely consistent and productive, hitting from the right with more power and precision than anybody else. It’s not usual to see right sides in this age group to be really effective when hitting from the right back but Carroll is just that as she maintains her ability to hit angle or line with impressive power. A Baylor commit, she has made great progress in her game over the last few years and is a very good blocker too.
