The Class of 2025 featured the most overall players and had a few late additions to the show.
Here’s a look at Part 3 of our 2025 player evaluations.
Jonae Swift, OH Cass Tech/Legacy
Swift is a regular on the Prep Dig showcases and she’s been making a lot of leaps in her games over the last year. Her defensive effort really looked improved this time around. She looked to have a quicker step around the floor, which helped her make good passes and consistent blocks. Her attacks still bring a good pop, but she’s been more consistent at finding open locations on the floor.
Emma Underwood Emma Underwood 6'0" | MB Kalamazoo Christian | 2025 State MI , MB Kalamazoo Christian/USA Michigan
Underwood was another of the 6-foot middle options at the showcase that was able to display a high ceiling in her game. She had good footwork and was really accurate with her attack locations. She didn’t have the biggest power of the middles, but she made up for it by finding empty spaces in the defense.
Kendall Williams Kendall Williams 6'1" | MB Grand Blanc | 2025 State MI , MH Grand Blanc/Michigan Elite
A strong 6-foot prospect, Williams was one of the standout middles regardless of class. Williams had a lot of spring in her step and her jump. She could really come down with a strong attack angle on the ball, making her nearly impossible to defend. Williams also moved across the net well, allowing her to stay ahead of blockers and put down point after point.
Abigail Wutka Abigail Wutka 5'11" | OH Macomb Dakota | 2025 State MI , OH Dakota/Michigan Elite
Wutka is a hitter that has been at a number of our showcases and shows a lot of improvement with each one. She was consistently delivering a powerful attack with a lot of velocity on her swings. Wutka was quick with her swing as well, not needing a long wind up to deliver power. That made her very quick and difficult to block.
Carly Zibell Carly Zibell 5'10" | RS Lake Orion | 2025 State MI , RS Lake Orion/High Performance
Zibell was a really solid RS prospect. She had a really good feel for her setters and read the ball well as it was in the air. She has a lot of power in her attacks and was able to put down some really eye-catching swings. Zibell also showed a high court IQ by working some sharp attack angles and keeping defenders guessing.
Lauren Norman
Lauren was a late addition to the event, so I don’t have any information on her outside of what I saw during the showcase. What I saw of Norman was a really strong hustle player that was making plays in all phases of the game. She showed a lot of persistence and hunger for the game.
Macey Mayer
Mayer was also a late addition to the event. She was another well-rounded player that was strong at the pin. She was doing a bit of everything as well, while being a vocal player on the court and being very supportive of her peers. There was a lot to like about Mayer and seemingly a high ceiling for what she can get to as an all-around talent.
