Our updated Nebraska 2025 rankings dropped yesterday, and we also started featuring new additions with Part 1 of our recurring series. That feature mentioned the need for three parts to cover all the added names, so we’re diving right into Part 2 today!
We’re picking right back up with Club Legacy 16 Alpha, a team that was previously discussed in our first feature of this series. Beermann has loomed large in the 16 Alpha frontcourt this year as a middle blocker who can dominate with her quickness and physicality. The future is bright for Beermann and her team–and for Club Legacy, which is stockpiling some impressive talent at the 16s level.
Highlights
Brodersen is a setter who almost has a dual role as a defensive specialist in her backcourt rotations. It’s not unusual for Brodersen to pile up digs in any given match, as her instincts in the right-back area allow her to be a step ahead of opposing attackers. So, whether it’s on the first contact or the second, Brodersen will find a way to make her presence felt for River City Jrs 16 Navy.
Nebraska Elite 16 Vision has a few players capable of running an efficient offense at the setter spot, but Burson has really took some big steps forward during qualifiers. Her command over the position is shown through some savvy distribution and a lot of stout floor defense, too. We’re not done giving this 16 Vision squad some recognition on these Class of 2025 features.
For once, we have a standout athlete for Nebraska Pride Gold 16s who represents a high school other than Minden! Ciemnoczolowski hails from Kenesaw and brings a wide array of skills to the Nebraska Pride lineup. She has been particularly impactful in the backcourt, bolstering what has been an extraordinary ball control group. That’s a big reason why Gold 16s will make the trip to Nationals.
Highlights
Dow joins Brodersen as a new addition from River City Jrs 16 Navy. It’s fitting that we have this pair on the same feature, too, because the setter-hitter connection here is exceptional. Dow has been thriving at the middle blocker spot and can terminate in front of the setter at a variety of tempos. Expect a heavy dose of this middle blocker whenever 16 Navy gets the pass it’s looking for.
Highlights
We’re about to get on a run of Nebraska Pride Black 16s standouts. Elfeldt is a small-town standout representing Sutherland on the high school side. Her smooth setting has generated some nice offense for Black 16s, and we can expect to see similar results during this year’s fall season.
Highlights
It’s double trouble with another Elfeldt joining the fray from Sutherland and Nebraska Pride. This Elfeldt iteration can play a variety of positions, from pin hitter to defensive specialist. Whatever the case, Black 16s has an effective tandem that knew how to make some noise at regional club events.
Highlights
Broken Bow gets a mention on this feature with Ellis emerging as a go-to attacker for Nebraska Pride Black 16s. This multi-sport star burst onto the varsity scene last fall with triple-digit kills in her sophomore campaign. That positive momentum has yielded another solid debut with Nebraska Pride in addition to all the basketball work Ellis has done with the Indians.
Adams Central has been on the state tournament stage a lot lately, allowing players like Fiala to showcase their skill in big venues. The high school side only tells part of Fiala’s story, however, as this agile middle blocker has been elevating her game this spring with South Central NE 16 Black. Now, expect this rising junior to keep Adams Central in that perennial postseason conversation.
How about another middle blocker from Club Legacy 16 Alpha? Fry has offered a perfect complement to Beermann this season, giving 16 Alpha a fun 1-2 combination in the frontcourt. We’re expecting more Omaha-area gems like Fry to keep developing and landing on our 2025 radar before long.
Lastly, we’re giving another shoutout to Nebraska Elite 16 Koa. Fullerton has helped elevate what was already an impressive lineup of attackers for this group. Physicality will never be lacking for 16 Koa, and Fullerton brings a wealth of finesse to go along with that power. That perfect combination has helped bring Fullerton into the rankings along with so many of her club teammates.
