Continue ReadingIt doesn’t matter what level you play at when you think about the fact that NCAA research shows that only four percent of high school volleyball players play in college. Texas is second to none when it comes to our players earning the right to play at the next level. The offers for our wonderful Texas players keep coming. We love to see the pictures and news of these players as they are achieving their dreams. We are proud to announce some news from the recruiting front. There are three more players who have just committed to college volleyball programs recently and we would like to share the news. These young ladies have been hard at work during the club and high school volleyball season. They also have been hard at work on the recruiting scene getting offers from schools and have made their college decisions. Help us in congratulating them on the amazing news.
Ariana Goode Ariana Goode 6'0" | MB Klein Collins | 2023 TX [2023] 6-0 Middle (HS: Klein Collins/Club: TAV Houston/Verbal: Nicholls State)
Ari is currently an unranked prospect in the 2023 Class according to our Prep Dig Texas State Rankings, but is on our official watch list. She plays volleyball at Klein Collins High School and also plays club for TAV Houston. She is a very long stopper at the net who uses her extensive reach to her benefit during blocking. She is able to get her long arms pressed over the net well and seals it away from opposing attackers. I like how she is able to patrol the net with her lower body and get all the way to the pins fast in order to close the block. She has solid power during her quick attacks to score around a block and she can also adjust her hand contact to find the hands of the blockers in order to tool them. Miss Goode will be a solid contributor at the next level in college. We are proud to announce that she has decided to play college volleyball at Nicholls State University. Please help us congratulate her on achieving her dream of playing at the next level.
Austen Goodgion [2023] 5-11 Middle/Right Side (HS: Liberty Christian/Club: TAV/Verbal: Lubbock Christian)
Austen is currently an unranked prospect in the 2023 Class according to our Prep Dig Texas State Rankings. She plays volleyball at Liberty Christian High School and club for Texas Advantage Volleyball. Austen has a very fast approach that she uses to create amazing momentum, which adds a lot of power into her attack. It is beautiful to watch as she transitions to her touch point in order to be in position to attack. While a lot of players stop their momentum once they get to their touch point, Miss Goodgion uses a slight pause to redirect her weight in order to create that momentum. Her arm swing also helps add lots of pop into the ball as it is lightning fast. She is one reason why her school team has dominated over the last few years. Her game is already at the college speed and she will be a force next season. We are proud to announce that she recently committed to playing volleyball at Lubbock Christian University. Please help us congratulate her on achieving her dream of playing college volleyball.
Mia Atkins [2023] 5-11 Middle/Right Side (HS: Hendrickson/Club: Austin Skyline/Verbal: Lake Forest College)
Mia is currently an unranked prospect in the 2023 class according to our Prep Dig Texas State Rankings. She plays volleyball at Hendrickson High School and club for Austin Skyilne. I love her versatility as she is able to play both the oppiste position and also middle at a high level. She shows great court vision while attacking and uses it to see holes in the defense. While on the attack during those situations, she is able to use some great off-speed shots in order to score for her squad. She has a strong upper body that she uses both on offense and while blocking on defense. Her physical strength will be a very valuable asset to her college program next season. We are proud to announce that she has committed to playing volleyball at Lake Forest College. Please help us congratulate her on realizing her dream of playing at the next level.
