Texas is second to none when it comes to our players earning the right to play at the next level. The offers for our wonderful Texas players keep coming. We love to see the pictures and news of these players as they are achieving their dreams. We are proud to announce some news from the recruiting front. There are three more players who have just committed to college volleyball programs recently and we would like to share the news. These young ladies have been hard at work during the club and high school volleyball season. They also have been hard at work on the recruiting scene getting offers from schools and have made their college decisions. Help us in congratulating them on the amazing news.
Campbell Love Campbell Love 5'6" | DS/L Byron Nelson | 2023 State TX [2023] 5-5 Libero (HS: Byron Nelson/Club: Madfrog ‘ last=”]/Verbal: Rice University)
Campbell is currently ranked as the 179th best overall prospect in the 2023 Class according to our Prep Dig Texas State Rankings. She plays volleyball at Byron Nelson High School and also plays club for Madfrog ‘ last=”]. Miss Love is a four-year letterman at Byron Nelson and has been a stud defender who commands the back row for them. She is the real deal and has high-level ball control in both passing serve and digging. I love how she creates balance before contact by splitting her base wide. She establishes herself with a great first step toward the ball and always ends with two feet landing together prior to contact. You can tell she has been trained well based on how well she holds her platform strong and firm well after the ball has contacted her arms. She does this to ensure that the angle doesn’t move, therefore the ball stays in-line toward her setter. Her play out of the middle back position was crucial to her squad’s success all year long during the club season. We are proud to announce that she has decided to play college volleyball at Rice University. Coach Volpe knows a thing or two about ball control and she has picked a great one in Miss Love. Please help us congratulate her on achieving her dream of playing at the next level.
Mariah Bell [2023] 5-9 Middle/Right Side (HS: Legacy School/Club: TAV Houston/Verbal: Allen University)
Mariah is currently an unranked prospect in the 2023 Class according to our Prep Dig Texas State Rankings. She plays volleyball at Legacy School of Sports Sciences and club for TAV Houston. Although Miss Bell is a little undersized at the middle position, she still has a strong fight in her as she battles well at the net. In order for her to slow down bigger middles that she goes up against, she relies on court savvy and impeccable timing on her block. She jumps after the hitter does and that helps her to press while the attacker has made contact. Some might think that one would be afraid to battle being smaller, but Mariah is extremely active at the net due to a high motor that she plays with. I love how she paints the opposing zone one corner with the ball well during her thirty-two attack route. We are proud to announce that she recently committed to playing volleyball at Allen University. Please help us congratulate her on achieving her dream of playing college volleyball.
Anaya Hairston Anaya Hairston 6'2" | MB Lancaster | 2023 State TX [2023] 6-2 Middle (HS: Lancaster/Club: Untouchables EPA/Verbal: Louisiana Tech University)
Anaya is currently ranked as the 200th best overall prospect in the 2023 class according to our Prep Dig Texas State Rankings. She plays volleyball at Lancaster High School and club for Untouchables EPA. Miss Hairston is a very lengthy stopper in the middle who touches very high. She uses that length in her arms to be a shut down blocker for her teams. As an attacker, she is extremely explosive in her approach and gets off of the ground super fast. She already possesses the ability to hit around the block both directions and can change it in mid-air due to her amazing hang-time and court vision. I also like her hand contact as she uses it to add a little extra pop in her hit. I am very excited to watch her play at the next level because I truly believe that she is not done getting better in the sport. Her ceiling is super high and she will be an impact player for sure. We are proud to announce that she has committed to playing volleyball at Louisiana Tech University. Please help us congratulate her on realizing her dream of playing at the next level.
