We had amazing athletes join on us for our showcase on April, 14th from many states around the country. There were a lot of athletes who stood out to our court coaches and scouts for a variety of reasons. Players stood out for their physical skills and dynamic athletic abilities, as well for other intangibles as being leaders of their courts, dynamic work ethic, and ability to adapt to a variety of drills throughout the showcase. Let’s introduce some of the athletes who received Top Performer Honors in the Setter and Libero position group at our SLC Showdown Showcase.
Nafanua Alofipo
Nafanua Alofipo
Nafanua Alofipo is currently an unranked prospect in the 2027 Class according to our Prep Dig State Rankings; the reason Nafanua is currently unranked is because our Utah Ranking System has yet to be released. Nafanua currently plays for Club V Volleyball Club in the State of Utah. Nafanua obtained a lot of attention from our scouts and court coaches at the SLC Showcase. Her athleticism was demonstrated in many different ways, one aspect that stood out was her ability to track down out-of-system passes. The quickness she showed on the court allowed her to track down balls, and still turn her hips to the target and sidelines to deliver a set to her hitters with tempo. Nafanua as well has a clean and precise release while she sets a ball and has a clear understanding of tempo at her young age. While at the Showcase Nafanua was setting to older hitters and had an easy time understanding the different tempos her hitters were calling for during live scrimmages. Nafanua is definitely an athlete that will be added to our watch list, and can’t wait to see her progress in her volleyball journey.
Alyssa Enriquez
Alyssa Enriquez
Alyssa Enriquez is currently an unranked prospect in the Class of 2026 according to our Prep Dig California Rankings. Alyssa currently attends Huntington Beach High School, and plays for United Volleyball Club in the State of California. Alyssa received a lot of attention from our court coaches and scouts at the SLC Showcase. She demonstrated a clear understanding of the Setter position, and was able to demonstrate her skills in the position drills and the live scrimmages. Her ability to set every single position with tempo allowed the hitters she was working with an opportunity to deliver a proper attack. That demonstrated to our scouts that she understands how to run a proper offense, and also how to ensure to spread the ball around and not get tunnel visioned on setting one specific position. One aspect that caught the eyes of our court coaches was her ability to play defense at a high level. Her ability to read attacks and have proper defensive/passing technique gives Alyssa the ability to be a strong setter in the back row. We also were impressed by her leadership on the court, and the way she was able to ensure all athletes knew what rotations they were in at all times. Alyssa will be added to our player watch list and can’t wait to follow her the rest of this season.
Morgan Stitzer
Morgan Stitzer
Morgan Stitzer is an unranked prospect in the 2026 Class according to our Prep Dig State Rankings; Morgan is currently unranked because the Colorado Ranking System has yet to be released. Morgan currently attends Stargate Charter School and plays for Colorado Elite Volleyball Club. Morgan was a joy to have at our SLC Showcase, she brought excitement to any court she was on, and throughout position drills she was able to connect with many of the other athletes in attendance. As a Libero (L) she demonstrated the ability to have proper communication with athletes she has never competed with, and that allowed the athletes around her to trust that she would be in the correct defensive spot. The (L) position needs an athlete that understands how to communicate with her teammates throughout all phases of a match. This ensures that proper shifts occur in the back row in a fluid motion that then allow the defensive scheme to be effective. She also demonstrated proper court awareness throughout our live scrimmages; one aspect that stood out to our scouts in relation to her court awareness was her ability to locate gaps in the block and properly step into them, and then deliver an accurate pass to her setters. We are excited to see Morgan progress in her volleyball journey.
Elise Arends
Elise Arends
Elise Arends is an unranked prospect in the 2026 Class according to our Prep Dig State Rankings; Elise is currently unranked because our Colorado Ranking System has yet to be released. Elise currently attends Niwot High School and plays for Colorado Elite Volleyball Club. Elise demonstrated a lot of her skills throughout the SLC Showcase that caught the attention of the court coaches and scouts in attendance. Elise demonstrated a great understanding of the Libero (L) position, and was able to demonstrate the quickness and readiness needed to play this position at high level. Throughout position drills she was able to track balls quickly with effective platform passing. An aspect that stood out was her ability to steer the ball with proper passing angles. When she had to deliver a pass off a hard driven attack her passing angles allowed for her to properly absorb the ball, and deliver an effective pass to the setter. Elise at young age has developed proper habits in her technique that will continue to grow as she progresses in her volleyball journey. We were very impressed by Elise’s abilities in the back row and believe she is a solid player.
Rylan Miller is an unranked prospect in the Class of 2026 according to our Prep Dig Florida State Rankings. Rylan currently attends Matanzas High School and plays club volleyball for OTVA located in the State of Florida. Throughout the SLC Showcase she demonstrated great attributes needed to be an outstanding Libero (L) at a high level. What caught the attention of our court coaches and scouts in attendance was the quickness and readiness needed to be high level (L), and the way she was able to hit the floor when needed to dig up a ball. During our live scrimmages Rylan was able to dig hard driven balls away from her midline effectively, and also be able to complete proper run throughs while delivering a proper pass to her setters. An additional attribute that stood out was her affective movements on defense and the readiness to cover at all times. We saw Rylan actively moving in the back row while reading the attackers, and be in a ready position in the back row to either step into a gap in the block, or pick up any tips/roll-shots in her area of defense. We were blown away by the plays Rylan made as a (L) and are excited to add her to our watch list. Rylan is a solid (L) for the Class of 2026, and can’t wait to follow her volleyball journey.
