Summerfest is one of the hottest tournaments in the country as some of the best teams will be bringing the heat to the Ohio capital. </p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>This tournament also marks one of the last events of the regular club season before the madness of nationals ensue. You do NOT want to miss it! </p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>While a lot of eyes may be on 16 Open this weekend, with the looming June 15th recruiting date opening up soon, MANY 2024s are still up-for-grabs. Let's take a look at some of the top uncommitted players headed down to Columbus this weekend!</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:heading --> <h2 class="wp-block-heading">[player_tooltip player_id='110332' first='Avery' last='Weslow'] - 5'11 OH/DS - FaR Out</h2> <!-- /wp:heading --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Fresh off of a national championship with FaR Out 18 Black, Weslow has become quite the impact player. Off the bench for her reception specialities, Weslow also knows all the shots needed to score a point. She'll be back on the court this weekend (and the remainder of the season) with 17 Black.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:heading --> <h2 class="wp-block-heading">[player_tooltip player_id='152116' first='Natalie' last='Kerchevall'] - 5'11 S/OPP - Toledo</h2> <!-- /wp:heading --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>It's the power of the mighty lefty. Whether she's running a 5-1 offense or in a 6-2, regardless, watch out for her powerful southpaw! Kerchevall is a surprising name to not see be picked up yet. She offers a lot of versatility on the court with her abilities to set and swing at a high level.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:heading --> <h2 class="wp-block-heading">[player_tooltip player_id='192239' first='Harlan' last='Wyche'] - 5'11 MB - Paramount</h2> <!-- /wp:heading --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Don't let her size fool you for a middle, this girl has HOPS! I got my first taste of Wyche in action at last year's Summerfest and have been keeping up ever since. She's a player that oozes athleticism and speed. She brings to the court a tough block and a firing arm.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:heading --> <h2 class="wp-block-heading">[player_tooltip player_id='196346' first='Taylor' last='Bahnub'] - 6'2 OH - Mintonette</h2> <!-- /wp:heading --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Talk about surprises, I am pretty shocked to see this player uncalled for coming into Summerfest. Bahnub brings some serious size and power to the left pin for Mintonette. A player that doesn't need much to get on top of the ball, Bahnub is atop of my watchlist this weekend.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:image {"align":"right","id":170098,"width":174,"height":203,"sizeSlug":"large","linkDestination":"none"} --> <figure class="wp-block-image alignright size-large is-resized"><img src="https://prepdig.com/wp-content/uploads/sites/5/2021/12/32-Mia-Eickholdt.jpg?w=876" alt="" class="wp-image-170098" width="174" height="203" /></figure> <!-- /wp:image --> <!-- wp:heading --> <h2 class="wp-block-heading">[player_tooltip player_id='110293' first='Mia' last='Eickholdt'] - 5'11 OH - Legacy</h2> <!-- /wp:heading --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Traditionally an opposite, in her first real season on the left pin, Eickholdt is doing more than holding her own. As an attacker, she's grown leaps and bounds throughout the year, HS season included. With a lot more pop on her swing, Eickholdt has a lot to offer as an offensive player.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:heading --> <h2 class="wp-block-heading">[player_tooltip player_id='172210' first='Katelynn' last='Rottman'] - 5'11 OH - KIVA</h2> <!-- /wp:heading --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Another player who can make a big impact off the bench, Rottman has been looking real solid lately since joining KIVA 17 Red. Before her move to Kentucky, Rottman led her HS team, Lansing Christian, to a state semifinal. With KIVA, Rottman can do some serious damage as a high-wire arm off the bench.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:heading --> <h2 class="wp-block-heading">[player_tooltip player_id='107434' first='Lilly' last='Hamburg'] - 6'1 MB - NKYVC</h2> <!-- /wp:heading --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>This NKYVC team is one serious threat to any team they meet across the net. With some of the best in the 2024 class, Hamburg is right up there alongside her peers. Hamburg has a lot of pop to her game.
