RockCity ‘ last=”] 16-1 opens play at AAU Nationals as the #6 overall seed in the 16 Club division. Here are a few of their key athletes.
Emma Parks – OH
Parks has some of the biggest upside on this team. Her best attribute is her size and length at 6-2 as she continues to increase her effectiveness as an offensive threat that can pass and score with more consistency from both sides of the floor. When her feet are to the ball and she can maximize her contact point on time, she can bring some big heat. Some of her best action comes through the middle areas of the court through quicker options.
Madison Miner

– OH
Miner probably has the best arm on this team in terms of mechanics and ability to make good adjustments in the air when needed. She has the tools to challenge hands well and also swing with an effective wrist-away cut and down the line as well as out of the back row. She is 5’11 with good elevation with well-rounded skills that allow her to contribute effectively through six rotations in all aspects.

– RS/OH
The 5’11 Williams is a key offensive threat for this team and gets her share of opportunities to swing on the right side. She has natural power and can also up the ante with an aggressive swing to provide even more heat. She can generate good pace at both pins and through a broad range of the opposing court as she has good awareness of space in front of her at the net.
Chloe Rhodes – L/DS
Rhodes is the primary libero for this team and provides consistent impact in serve receive with good reaction and tracking of the ball in her footwork and simple platform creation for the first touch. She has good court awareness and understands well her responsibilities relative to seams and the touch needed in response to the pace of the attack.
Kirsten Shaffer – MB
The 6’1 Shaffer continues to come into her own as a middle prospect. She has good mobility and length in her frame to be effective on both sides of the ball and increasingly shows improvement in her movement around the floor in her transition work as well as blocking. She is one to keep an eye on as her progress is noticeable and with added experience and improved quickness she could become a big factor.
