SubscribeI was lucky enough to coach my team while at Nationals. I also was able to watch and cover plenty of really good volleyball. Hopefully you are already following us on social media via Instagram and Twitter. I was able to post lots of videos and updates on our instagram during the entire tournament. I will post multiple articles in the coming days covering some really impressive players. Please share our articles so that others are able to see just how awesome these players are.
Myia Mccoy OH for Ozark 17 Elite- She is a 6 rotation outside that effects the game in so many ways. As the pictures shows, she has a tremendous vertical. However, she has much more to offer than just that. She was able to comfortably aim for blockers hands and tool them on a regular basis. Her back row presence was just as impressive. Her ability to dig in transition while also being an offensive threat makes her an all around contributor for her team.
Gia McGrew Gia McGrew 6'1" | MB Mt. St. Mary | 2025 State OK RH for OK Charge 16UA- She is a recent Iowa Hawkeye commit. She was making huge plays at Nationals, just as she had done all year long. Her ability to time the block nearly perfectly made her a problem for opposing outside hitters. She then does a great job of turning and burning to be a viable option on every ball. Fellow club and high school teammate, Liv Ward, has the ability to get Gia the ball anywhere on the court. MSM will have another huge year this coming school season.

Setter for TAV 16 Platinum- I was fortunate enough to see her team play multiple times over the four days. Kiana made great decisions on who and when to set her teammates. She put the whole offense in great positions to score. She had an uncanny ability to reverse the flow and set the ball cross court. Mix this kind of mental play with her hustle and great hands, and you get a player that takes the team to another level of play.
Mele Angilau Middle Blocker for Club V 17 Ren Steph J. She had to be a big reason this team won the Salt Lake City Showdown and runner up at Adidas Lone Star Classic national qualifiers. She had great transition footwork and tenacity that made her available often. She may have left a few dents in the court back in Chicago because she absolutely unloaded on a few balls. She is a big time player for her team and deserves some college attention.
It was such an awesome week of high level volleyball. The best of the best earned their bids and put it all on the line for one last tournament this club season. It was impressive seeing teams from southern California all the way to Connecticut all in one location. Oklahoma had multiple teams represent our region. Stay tuned for more articles covering nationals, team previews, team camps and 2026 rankings on the horizon.
