Many players stood out to our court coaches and scouts throughout the entire showcase for a variety of reasons. Some players stood out for their dynamic physical skills and some stood out for intangibles like leadership, effort and attitude. Let’s meet a few of the players who earned the honor of Top Performer at the showcase.
Kylie Meche Kylie Meche 5'9" | OH Mansfield | 2026 TX [2026] 5-9 Outside (HS: Mansfield/Club: NRG/Verbal: Uncommitted)
Kylie is currently an unranked prospect in the 2026 Class according to our Prep Dig Texas State Rankings, but is on our watch list now based on what we saw in the showcase. She plays for Mansfield School and also club for the NRG volleyball program out of the North Texas area. Miss Meche was phenomenal attacking everything with force that came her way during the showcase. She showed some great ball control being able to direct the ball anywhere she wanted it to go. I loved how she used her hand contact in order to score in different ways. Her right arm is GOLDEN! She can throttle the ball with extreme authority as she rises up and swings for the fences. Most players need to create momentum with their approach in order to get up high, but Ky has the amazing ability to rise up well even without taking an approach. She is someone who I will be watching very closely to see if she can make the state rankings. Please help us congratulate her on earning the Top Performer award for this showcase.
Claire Conner Claire Conner 5'8" | OH Weatherford | 2026 TX [2026] 5-7 Outside (HS: Weatherford/Club: Club Texas/Verbal: Uncommitted)
Claire is an unranked prospect in the 2026 Class according to our Prep Dig Texas State Rankings. She plays at Weatherford High School and also plays for the Club Texas volleyball club program. Miss Conner is a natural true point scorer that will be listed amongst the state’s best for the next couple of years. I truly believe she will be the next great outside for Weatherford and lead them in kills soon. Not sure if there was another outside who hit the ball harder than her at the showcase. She showed great timing in order to get completely on top of the ball and hit it straight down when there was a split in the block. Most attackers only show well during the individual positional drills, but Miss Conner actually played even better during the scrimmages. She is a gamer who will turn it up a few notches when the going gets tough for her squad. I would definitely trust the ball in her hands at the end of the match when we need a point scored. Please help us congratulate her on earning a Top Performer award from our showcase.
Ava Dyer Ava Dyer 5'8" | DS/L R L Paschal | 2026 State TX [2026] 5-8 Libero (HS: Paschal/Club: Drive Nation/Verbal: Uncommitted)
Ava is currently an unranked prospect in the 2026 Class according to our Prep Dig Texas State Rankings. She plays at Paschal High School and also for the awesome Drive Nation club program. Miss Dyer was a ball control expert that showed some serious skills throughout the showcase. I loved how she kept her long arms well away from her body as it truly helped her create some amazing angles in order to get the ball to her setter. Those long arms were also helpful when she was going to pursue the ball when it was far away. This will help extend her range defensively and keep her team in the rally when they think all hope is lost to pick up the ball. Creating an angle during serve receive is an art form and Ava showed true artistry at the skill. She knew exactly how much to drop one shoulder or the other in order to direct the ball where she wanted it to go. We will be watching her very closely this year and you should also. Please help us congratulate her on earning a Top Performer award from our showcase.
