Marlina Anderson Marlina Anderson 6'0" | MB North Central | 2024 State IN , 6-0, North Central, Academy
I’ve been high on Marlina for a while now. She’s got great athleticism, makes smart decisions, plays bigger than her frame and is always on a winning program. She’s more of an M2 than an M1, but I wouldn’t be surprised if she learned quickly how to hit slides, as her volleyball and athletic acuity is high.
Lucy Kay Lucy Kay 6'1" | MB Fishers | 2024 State IN , 6-1, Fishers, Rev
Can someone explain this to me? Long, lean, fast, athletic, plays an open schedule in the spring, qualifies for Nationals in 17 Open, and is still available? She’s a solid M1 for the only Indiana squad that played in 17 Open in Chicago last week, and she knows nothing except hard work and winning. Whomever picks up Miss Kay is going to be rewarded with a plug-and-play middle that can put balls away on offense and uses her length wisely on defense.
Abby Sollenberger Abby Sollenberger 6'2" | MB Brownsburg | 2024 State IN , 6-2, Brownsburg, Circle City
Big, strong, and physical, Abby has the tools and the talent to be an M2 at the next level. Her length allows her to defend well from pin to pin, while her strength has her hitting a heavier ball than the kids listed above.
Annie Canada Annie Canada 5'10" | MB Pendleton Heights | 2024 State IN , 5-10, Pendleton Heights, Munciana
Tucked away just outside of Muncie, Annie can play both middle and right side for whomever wants a Munciana-trained player. She’s especially smart, sees the court well, and rarely makes errors. She also makes up for her frame with a long and lean build that makes her look well over six feet.
Sophia Damer Sophia Damer 6'1" | MB Mt. Vernon | 2024 State IN , 6-1 MB/RS, Mount Vernon, Academy
I’m cheating a bit here. I’ve seen her be a full-time middle in previous years, but she spent the majority of this past club season playing right side. No matter, she’s great at both. Athletic, fast and powerful, Sophia can defend the net well, takes up space on the block, and has a whip of an arm to terminate balls regularly. If I were a college coach, this would be like getting two players for the price of one.
