I love watching middle hitters and right-side hitters develop and shine at these showcases. The athletes below really look like pros already even though they are just entering their freshman year of high school. Honestly, they all look so good that I am excited to see how far they develop over the next four years. Let's discuss what was noticed today about each of these athletes.

Lila Bruszewski

Lila Bruszewski, class of 2027.

Bruszewski is a 6' middle blocker from Carmel High School. She has amazing reach for blocking and a great swing when hitting. She is aware of her opponents on the opposite court and can make an impact in any game situation she is involved in.

Avery Little

Little is a 5'9" middle hitter from North Posey High School. Little is a hitter to keep track of as she is smart and sneaky on the court. If you lose where she is she will slam one home before you know it. She is also very court aware and great at putting up a block.

Jillian Forrest

Forrest is a 5'10" right-side hitter from Ursuline Academy. Forrest was impressive for her blocking as well as her hitting. She is very athletic and is keenly aware of where her opponents are located at all times. I watched her make some really smart plays today at the showcase and she is a changemaker on the court.

Ava Lynch

Lynch is a 5'11" right-side hitter from Avon High School. Lynch has a great approach, power, and placement. She is very hard to defend because she is a smart and athletic athlete. I can't wait to see her throughout her high school career.

Ella Mensch

Mensch is a 5'10" right-side hitter from Heritage Christian High School. Mensch was impressive to watch. She has a great vertical, a great roll shot if blocked, and finds a way to make the point no matter the defense put up against her. She seems to be a more mature athlete in the game than others her age.
