Prep Dig was in attendance to scout matches that began with the score tied at 7 and were played to 25. Thirteen more teams will arrive in Topeka to start play on the afternoon of July 11.
Here is the first of multiple scouting reports on players who posted solid performances during the event.
Emery Keebaugh Emery Keebaugh 5'10" | OH Ottawa | 2024 State KS , 5’10”, OH, Ottawa, ’24
Keebaugh is a highly-talented hitter who has already committed to playing college volleyball. In a match against Lincoln, she racked up nine kills and four digs. Her tip game was on point in that match as well. During her junior season, she finished with 527 Kills, 393 digs, and 40 aces. She plays club ball with KS Networks and is currently ranked No. 34 in the Prep Dig Kansas Class of 2024 rankings. Keebaugh has committed to continuing her volleyball career at Washburn University.
Addison White, 5’2”, L, Ottawa, ‘26
White is a young libero who really wants to play at the next level. She has a quiet frame and makes consistent first passes. She finished the match against Lincoln with three serve receptions. White communicates well with her teammates and appears to be very coachable.
Dylan Nichols Dylan Nichols 6'1" | MB Ottawa | 2026 State KS , MH, Ottawa, ‘26
Nichols is a young middle to keep an eye on. She finished with two kills in the match against Lincoln. She has a big reach and raw talent. Nichols played front row only during Ottawa’s first match of the tournament. She finished her freshman season with 54 kills and 46 blocks. She will be a legit college prospect when all is said and done.
Alex Romero Alex Romero 5'6" | S McPherson | 2024 State KS , 5’7”, L/OH, McPherson, ‘24
Romero is a high-energy player who is quite athletic. During her junior season, she finished with 704 assists and 77 kills. She communicates well with teammates and can push the ball to the pin. She plays six rotations and can be a hitter when needed. She also has a solid tip game and posted a solid performance in a two-set split against Syracuse (NE).
Ava Romero Ava Romero 5'8" | OH McPherson | 2026 State KS ,5’8”, OH/MH, McPherson. ‘26
Ava is taller and arguably more athletic than her older sister. She finished her sophomore season with 150 kills and 231 digs. She has a nice swing but needs to trust it. She tipped the ball a couple of times in the match against Syracuse when she probably still could have carried out her full swing. She will be a player to keep an eye on in central Kansas.
Brooke Doile Brooke Doile 5'9" | MB McPherson | 2026 State KS , 5’8”, UT, McPherson, ‘26
The Bullpups could be solid for years to come. In the same class as Ava Romero Ava Romero 5'8" | OH McPherson | 2026 State KS is Brook Doile. Doile can play multiple positions and could be a six-rotation stud in the making. She finished with four kills against Syracuse. She has a really big swing and could have another growth spurt in the future.
Kadyn Sisco, 5’11”, MH, Syracuse (NE), ‘24
My favorite player to watch in Pool B was Sisco. She is a lean-mean blocking machine. She could be the poster player if Hollywood makes a volleyball version of “The Longest Yard.” The young lady is all arms and legs and looks like a strong wind would blow her over, but she can punish a volleyball. She has multiple offers from NAIA programs. Schools in western Kansas should make a run at this Husker State prospect.
