Warm Up With the Prep Dig Resolution To Start 2024
The Prep Dig Resolution will be back in 2024!
There is some special history behind this event. This was one of the first major volleyball events to ever be held at the Community First Champion Center in Appleton and the kickoff to our inaugural event season back in 2020. Although the rest of 2020 didn’t go as planned for the world, but we started it off strong!
With the popularity of the event we have split the weekend into two weekends with a few changes from previous years.
Weekend 1 – Ages 13-15, January 13-14, 2024
We are adding 15s to this weekend to make more room for 16s, 17s, 18s for weekend two.
Weekend 2 – Ages 16s-18s, January 20-21, 2024
This would make a great warm up for those teams who are heading to Northern Lights Qualifier in Minneapolis or Central Zone in Indianapolis.
A Few Items To Note:
-The player experience with a competitive balance is our first priority
-Coverage. Our scouts Rachel Kass and Breit Nelson are tweeting, taking photos, videos, and taking notes all weekend providing information for articles after the tournament.
-The Community First Champion Center is one of the top facilities in the Midwest. We have run countless tournaments there and is an unofficial home court for Prep Dig.
-We want teams out of there by 5 PM, we know its a long season and want to make sure families are getting back at a decent time.
What Did Prep Dig Resolution look like in 2023?
We had some of the top teams in Wisconsin doing battle where we also had some up and coming clubs really make a statement. We did a power pool for 17s and 18s, providing a chance for strong competition for every team. The non-power pool champions were able to have a crossover to get into the gold bracket.
Is that standard for every tournament? Not always. We will look at the combinations of teams we have and decide what would be the best playing experience for the athletes. Would it be a standard pool play into a bracket? Sometimes. Or would we have a power pool with a chance for non-power pool teams to get into gold? Yes, we have done that too. We will have an Open and Club Division for all divisions.
