Sophia Gunther – 2026 – Visitation Academy
Gunther averaged two kills per set, good for 167 on the season. After a strong showing in her first season, look for those numbers to get over 200 this fall.
Summer Zelei – 2026 – Holt
Zelei saw the court quite a bit in her freshman season. She participated in 86 sets and was able to score in the attack 108 times. She added 83 digs, which shows she can potentially be a good six-rotation pin.
Cate McCullough – 2026 – Incarnate Word Academy
McCullough is the first player out of this group listed as both an OH and OPP. She had 78 kills in 78 sets and will be a bigger contributor this fall in the kill category.
Bailey Foster – 2026 – Lincoln College Prep
Foster was key to any success Lincoln enjoyed in 2022 by having a freshman year where she contributed to the varsity squad. She is a player we should see cut down on her hitting errors this season and get well over a hundred kills.
Piper Underwood – 2025 – Central (Cape)
We go to the southeast corner of the state to highlight Underwood, who was good in her first season at Central. She averaged just under two kills per set and we should expect her to be closer to two and a half or higher this year.
Lily Wiedemann Lily Wiedemann 5'9" | OH West Plains | 2025 State MO – 2025 – West Plains
An improvement in kills from year one into year two shows Wiedemann has a high ceiling. Look for her to build on that in her junior season.
Erica Conger Erica Conger 5'10" | OH Parkway West | 2025 State MO – 2025 – Parkway West
Conger played in 75 sets last fall, up from 18 in her freshman year. She made most of those minutes with 141 kills. Expect even more from her in 2023.
Neo Bourn – 2025 – DeSoto
Bourn matched the above-named Conger in the kill category, totaling 141 on the season. She is another player who showed growth in between her first two seasons so we expect nothing less in year three.
