We have been watching the 2024 class very closely throughout the entire club season. A lot of the analysis has come from watching these players in person and also by watching the amazing footage that has been uploaded to everyone’s recruiting profiles. We have been talking to a lot of coaches across the country and this class is littered with college prospects. The following players showed us all that they deserved to be added to the rankings due to their individual performances.
Ava Shankle Ava Shankle 6'0" | MB Grapevine | 2024 State TX [2024] 6-0 Outside/Right Side (HS: Grapevine/Club: Drive Nation/Verbal: Ohio State)
Please officially welcome Miss Shankle to the State Rankings. She is currently ranked as the 29th best overall prospect in the 2024 Class according to our Prep Dig Texas State Rankings. She plays for Grapevine High School and also for the Drive Nation volleyball club. Ava has been on my watch list for a while and it was just when I was going to add her to the official list. Her play on the court has spoken for itself and no one can argue her placement. The versatility she possesses by being able to play any position along the net is one of the main reasons she is so highly coveted by college programs. It is a coach’s dream to have a player be able to ball at an elite level anywhere they put them in the lineup. She is able to rise up off of the ground so effortlessly and possesses a violent swing that decimates the ball at will. Miss Shankle is a special player that opposing coaches must game plan for. After careful evaluation we decided to not only add her to the list but put her as one of the top 29 athletes in the state of Texas. Please help us congratulate her on the honor.
Taylynn Biggs Taylynn Biggs 6'2" | MB Paschall | 2024 State TX [2024] 6-2 Middle (HS: Paschall/Club: Dallas Skyline/Verbal: Uncommitted)
Please welcome Miss Biggs to the prestigious State Rankings. She is currently ranked as the 56th best overall prospect in the 2024 Class according to our Prep Dig Texas State Rankings. She plays for Paschall High School and also for the Dallas Skyline volleyball club. I was lucky enough to be able to watch her in a few national tournaments this season and she was very impressive playing at the Open level. Miss Biggs held her own at the net and kept her team in every rally. If she didn’t block the ball, she most certainly took up lots of space above the net and made the opposing attacker change her shot on many occasions. Tay has great lateral movement while patrolling the net and provides a solid seal of the seam when closing on the outside. When she connects on the ball, her power is both seen and heard on the attack. We are proud to have her listed as one of the best players in our awesome state. Please help us congratulate her on the recognition.
Semaj Cox Semaj Cox 5'2" | DS/L Lawrence E Elkins | 2024 State TX [2024] 5-3 Libero (HS: Elkins/Club: Houston Juniors / Verbal: Uncommitted)
Please welcome Miss Cox officially to the State Rankings. Semaj is currently ranked as the 58th best overall prospect in the 2024 Class according to our Prep Dig Texas State Rankings. She plays for Elkins High School and also for the Houston Juniors volleyball club. I love how she keeps her base extremely wide while in her adjusted defensive position, as it allows her to stay super balanced prior to contact of the ball. Defensively she has extensive range laterally and it is beautiful to watch her lunge out. Her small frame can move quite fast on the court and she is a Godsend to any team by the way she keeps the ball up and off of the court. When you watch her play, her eyes stay on the prize and it helps to put her in position well before most players in her position. She has been on our official watch list for a while and this season we saw what we needed to in order to have her listed on the Official State Rankings list. Please help us congratulate her on being named one of the best players in the state of Texas.
