GameChangers: Freshman Outsides at the MO/KS Stock Up Showcase

They are impact makers and will become their team leaders in the next four years. It is great to see how they develop over time and grow so much from this age of freshman to their senior years of high school. Barger has a great vertical and a long reach. She has powerful swings and can hit the corners well. She communicates with her setter and displays the ability to work well with others. She can hit, dig, serve, and set. Very versatile and useful athlete. </p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:heading --> <h2 class="wp-block-heading">Bo Bronson</h2> <!-- /wp:heading --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Bronson is a 5'9" outside hitter from Shawnee Mission Northwest High School in Kansas. Bronson is such an athletic hitter. She has all the skills needed to be a great outside hitter and leader for her team. She has great speed, reflexes, platform, and the ability to move agilely on the court. With all of that at her disposal, she could be a six-rotation player if needed.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:heading --> <h2 class="wp-block-heading">Avery Brooks</h2> <!-- /wp:heading --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Brooks is a 5'9" outside hitter from Blue Valley West High School in Kansas. She is a compact hitter. She can jump very well and very quickly. She has power behind her hits and she will really impact her team in high school. She has a great approach, hitting ability, digging ability, blocking ability, and serving ability. She is the total package and was quite impressive on the court. </p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:heading --> <h2 class="wp-block-heading">Cayten Cummings</h2> <!-- /wp:heading --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Cummings is a 5'8" outside hitter from Yates Center High School in Kansas. Cummings is a powerful athlete and can get high up on top of the ball. That gives her the range to do what she would like to with the ball. She can hit at very steep angles and moves so fast that she is difficult to defend. She is a very smart and court-aware athlete. </p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:heading --> <h2 class="wp-block-heading">Benya Kitchaiya</h2> <!-- /wp:heading --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Kitchaiya is a 5'8" outside hitter from BVNV in Kansas. This athlete has a great vertical and can twist her body and then unload like a spring. She is built long and lean and can get on top of the ball to hit either the corners or the line with ease. She is very quick and uses this to her advantage to either hit, block, or dig if needed. She will be of great use to her future high school team. </p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:heading --> <h2 class="wp-block-heading">[player_tooltip player_id='444584' first='Caylin' last='Lindsay']</h2> <!-- /wp:heading --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Lindsay is a 5'8" outside from Hartland High School in Michigan. Lindsay caught my attention at the showcase by how well she was playing with older athletes. I could not determine her age or experience by watching her perform. She jumps really well. She has a lot of power she can draw upon when she is hitting. She has natural athletic quickness and reflexes that work well with her other skills on the court. She communicates with the team she is playing with and does what needs to be done. Potentially, another six-rotation player. </p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:heading --> <h2 class="wp-block-heading">Tori Massengill</h2> <!-- /wp:heading --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Massengill is a 5'11" outside hitter from Lee's Summit West High School in Missouri. Massengill is a very useful athlete. She is a very patient and calm athlete. She waits for a good set then makes the most of it. She plays well in out-of-system situations and has a great platform too. She serves well and maintains the focus of the other athletes on her team. </p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:heading --> <h2 class="wp-block-heading">[player_tooltip player_id='446251' first='Kylee' last='Webb']</h2> <!-- /wp:heading --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Webb is a 6' outside hitter from Olathe West High School in Kansas. Webb is a threat anywhere in the front row. She has a great vertical and a great block. She hits hard and puts the ball in the seams without much effort. She makes it look easy. She works hard and can handle out-of-system plays well. She is very athletic and moves fast. With her speed, height, reach, and jumping ability she will be hard to outperform. </p> <!-- /wp:paragraph -->
