Badin had a phenomenal season in 2022 thanks in part to Heid’s arm as part of a balanced and efficient offense. The Rams advanced to the DII state semifinals as Heid led their attack with a 2.7 k/s average, placing her at the top of the total kills leaderboard in the league. The 6’0 pin had a great club season and enters the 2023 fall season even better. Be sure to get a look at her offensive skill set as she can get up and terminate with big pace. The Rams have enough pieces back that they could win the GCL once again for a 2nd consecutive season.

The senior 2022 2nd team all-league selection finished third offensively in the GCL with 248 total kills. She also contributed 287 assists and 230 digs for some of the most well-rounded production of any athlete in the league. Thompson’s first regular season action of her senior year comes this week as the Knights open the 2023 season versus Sycamore. She is poised to be among league leaders in multiple categories and a likely 1st team all-league selection when all is said and done.

Although the Eagles struggled to claim many wins in 2022, Jones was a bright spot within the league. She led her team offensively at 2.5 k/s finishing just outside the top-10 for total kills on the season. With 105 total digs last fall, she was one of the best in the GCL defensively at the net finishing among the top five in total blocks. She has good athleticism and physicality at the net as displayed by her recent club effort on the right pin. She has good arm control and power and uses good mechanics to get up and over the net well when blocking. Jones was a 1st team all-league selection last fall.
