Athletes will be going on official visits and with the college practices, matches, and classes in session they will get a true feel for the school which could definitely result in a commitment. Here are the six top available outside hitters that are uncommitted in the Class of 2025.
#1 – Macaria Spears Macaria Spears 6'3" | OH Prestonwood Christian | 2025 State #5 Nation TX – Prestonwood Christian (TX) – TAV
Throughout the club season, Spears had a big presence of the top college programs on her court with TAV 17 Black. There were plenty of questions of if she would be a day one commit on June 15. She has a ton of physicality where she can dominate anywhere on the court. This Class of 2025 is loaded with pin hitters. Spears is ready to have another big high school season and I’m sure some official visits on deck.
#4 – Kaci Demaria Kaci Demaria 6'3" | OH Palos Verdes | 2025 State #7 Nation CA – Palos Verdes (CA) – Surfside
The top prospect out of the Class of 2025 in California is still on the board. She was USA U19 Team that won gold at the World Championships this summer. Seeing her compete with her Surfside team at Triple Crown where they won the title was pretty special. Demaria has the length and physicality. She also has top tier serve receive and ball control to play six rotations at a high level. I am still really curious how more West coast teams heading to the Big Ten will affect the volleyball recruiting landscape. Will athletes like Demaria head to the Midwest/East knowing they can come back and play close to home? I’m sure plenty of Big Ten programs would love to have the likes of Demaria.
#9 – Suli Davis Suli Davis 6'1" | OH Colleyville Heritage | 2025 State #9 Nation TX – Colleyville Heritage (TX) – TAV
Will Davis and Spears be on the same club team this winter? I know there was some shuffling in the Texas club scene over the summer. What a combo that would be. Davis is one of the top overall athletes in this class. I think she could play any sport and she would find a way to be one of the best on any court or field there is. Davis is dominant with her physical style where she contributes everywhere as a primary passer and point scorer from the front and back row. The landscape is also looking a little different with Texas heading to the SEC and Houston coming into the Big 12. Houston has picked up some big time commits already at the pin. Does Davis stay home? She will have plenty of options of her liking.
#10 – Asia Harvey Asia Harvey 6'0" | OH Sandy Creek | 2025 #10 Nation GA – Sandy Creek (GA) – 575
Harvey is absolutely electric, lightning in a bottle. This upcoming club season it looks like she will be playing for a new club in 575 out of the NW Metro area of Atlanta. What Harvey brings to the court is a really athletic style where she goes big on her swings and shows no fear against any block or defender. She is a pure point scorer. She has to be a prime prospect for the land of the SEC and ACC. With Harvey heading to 575, it will be interesting to see if anyone else follows in a geographical area where A5 has absolutely dominated.
#23 – Mesaiya Bettis Mesaiya Bettis 6'0" | OH Burnsville | 2025 State #28 Nation MN – Burnsville (MN) – Northern Lights
I have seen Bettis play live most likely a dozen times in the past two club seasons. She gets better each time she touches the court. Her backcourt game has improved tremendously where she can pass to attack, pass to attack out of the backrow, and handle a high volume in serve receive. Like all Northern Lights athletes, she is extremely well trained. What she will bring to the next level is someone who can score in multiple ways, big time athleticism, and a huge upside. She has elevated her high school program of Burnsville High School in the South Metro of the Twin Cities to be a state contender. The program at the next level to get Bettis will have a gem for sure.
#25 – Sydney Bryant Sydney Bryant 6'3" | OH George Ranch | 2025 State #26 Nation TX – Georgia Ranch – Houston Juniors
What a presence. Sydney Bryant Sydney Bryant 6'3" | OH George Ranch | 2025 State #26 Nation TX is 6’3, has the ability to play multiple positions and its extremely terminal. She hits such a heavy ball and is yet another name to add to the list of high level Texas pins! I think her trajectory is extremely high at the next level with her size and athleticism. She already has the college level physicality and when she continues to develop the all around game she will be very dangerous (more than she already is).
