Here are players that stood out:
I’ve scouted Naeve quite a few times during the last year, seeing her freshman year with the Regals and her outstanding work on the club circuit. She’s one of the more fun players to watch with a complete skill set that makes her dangerous all around the court. Her best spot is the outside. She is an explosive athlete with a big, powerful swing. Naeve also stands out in the back row. She leads Regina with 35 kills so far this season after pacing the squad with 442 as a freshman last year.
Highlights
Sydney Wagner
Sydney Wagner
Wagner has steadily improved throughout her career and is the unquestioned leader on a Regal team capable of making major noise this fall. She’s a student of the game with a high volleyball IQ. She marries that with being technically sound with keen court vision. She’s piled up 79 assists already in ’23 after leading Regina with 870 of them last season.
Kiley Devery
Kiley Devery
Devery is one of the better kept secrets when it comes to volleyball in the state. She displayed excellent potential as a freshman last fall when her 80.0 blocks led the team and she ranked second on it with 166 kills. Like Naeve, I’ve scouted Devery in high school and club ball during the last year. She continues improving, becoming stronger in the middle and taking a jump on the right side as well. She’s produced 21 kills and 6.0 blocks so far in ’23.
Elizabeth Nolte
Elizabeth Nolte
The 5-10 freshman with long arms flashed upside during my first opportunity to watch her play live. She produced five kills with 4.0 blocks to date without a hitting error. I like her feel for the game and ability to alter opponent offerings at the net even when she doesn’t get her hands on them. As she settles in and the nerves die down, Nolte should raise her game even more.
Chloe Baez
Chloe Baez
Excellent athleticism and explosiveness allow Baez to play much bigger than the 5-foot-8 at which she’s listed on the North roster. She boasts long arms and jumps very well. She led the team in blocks a year ago and ranked third in kills. Her ability as a two-way performer make her a big part of opponent scouting reports.

Gisele Muhammad Gisele Muhammad Davenport North | 2025 State IA
Muhammad sees a lot of action in the North back row with the Wildcats having limited defense at the net. She deals with plenty of pace and stands in well against it. Her overall quickness and sharp reflexes help her turn her digs into usable passes.
Kemp started as a freshman last season, ranking second on the team in kills (101) and third in digs (121). Her game has matured through that experience and competing in high-level club action after it. Kemp looks to have a bright future with a well-rounded skill set already and a high ceiling. She can play at the net or settle comfortably into the back row.
