Team Spotlight: Revere Minutemen

The earliest part of their schedule includes a 3-0 victory over defending state champion NDCL. Their most recent contest resulted in a 3-0 sweep of Aurora to help them start conference play at 1-0 in the Suburban-American. Here are some of their key contributors:</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>Georgia Stenger </strong>- OH<br>The senior pin attacker has over 500 career kills including a career best 223 over the course of her junior season in 2022. She is putting up career best numbers thus far with 4.3 k/s on a terrific .342 efficiency. At 5'9, she has good mechanics to get the to the ball with her feet to create opportunities for her to take aggressive swings with pace and good range. Stenger was an all-league honorable mention selection last fall.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='502122' first='Samantha' last='Dehrmann']</strong> - OH<br>Another all-league honorable mention honoree from 2022, Dehrmann provides a good physical presence at the left pin as she is 5'11 with a long reach and contact point on the ball. She has potential to get up and swing over an average block or find space to drive the ball with good power. She had 214 total kills last season for a 2.7 k/s average. Her numbers are on pace so far to surpass that output as she is terminating 3.7 k/s on an improved .269 efficiency. The sophomore has also improved her contributions defensively at 10.8 d/m. </p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='521590' first='Jessa' last='Randall'] </strong>- MH<br>The junior middle has good size at 6'0 combined with athleticism and mobility to make a significant impact on both sides of the ball. She is the third arm scoring quality points as she terminates a career best 2.3 k/s through a career high .284 efficiency. Offensively, she understands how to create good space around her setter offensively that creates opportunities to swing with good arm control and movement. Where she excels right now is on the defensive side averaging 4.3 b/m. </p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>Bella Soful</strong> - L<br>This team's senior libero, Soful is putting up some big numbers defensively. Over eight matches she is averaging 15.3 d/m, which includes a double-digit effort in each contest she has played. She has displayed some key play-making ability to pursue the ball with good intent and range to help create good offensive transition for her team. </p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='435239' first='Fiona' last='Cooper']</strong> - S<br>Cooper has 106 assists over 12 sets played for an 8.8 a/s average. She has good quickness and pursuit in her footwork to the second touch with the ability to get her hands on the ball in tough spots rather than resorting to the use of her platform when on the move. As her numbers are up in helping direct the Minutemen's offense, she is also making bigger contributions defensively picking up nine digs per match. </p> <!-- /wp:paragraph -->
