Here’s how it works: I’ll pop up a random number generator that includes the 2024 rankings. I’ll generate eight numbers and the eight that come up will be the ranking of the player. I’ll then spotlight those players in the article to help give them some more attention.
There’s 88 players ranked in our Class of 2024. Let’s see who has the lucky numbers this month:
39. Hanna Bredeweg Hanna Bredeweg 5'9" | S Grand Rapids Christian | 2024 State MI , S GR Christian/MVA
The senior is one of two setting options for the Eagles and has them looking like a D2 contender once again this fall. She’s tallied 163 assists, 108 digs, 60 kills, 27 blocks and 16 aces. Bredeweg is contributing in all phases of the game and doing her part to keep GRC as a top contender.
13. Kiley Gallagher Kiley Gallagher 5'5" | DS/L Clarkston | 2024 State MI , DS/L Clarkston/Legacy
An Oakland University commit, Gallagher is anchoring the Clarkston back row and has the Wolves as one of the top-ranked teams in Division 1. She continues to be quick on her feet and good with her communication in leading the defense. Some highlights for Gallagher this fall has been 28 digs against Northville and 19 digs against South Lyon East.
48. Sophia Allen Sophia Allen 6'0" | OH Grand Rapids Catholic Central | 2024 State MI , OH GR Catholic Central/MVA
Facing a lot of top competition on the west side of the state, Allen has been holding her own at the net. She’s got 135 kills on the year for Catholic Central, while also adding 98 digs, 16 blocks and 16 aces. Last week she had one of her best performances of the year, racking up 16 kills while hitting .481 against Cedar Springs.
27. Jaelyn Hall Jaelyn Hall 6'1" | RS Bedford | 2024 State MI , RS Bedford/Premier
The Kicking Mules are sitting at 30-1 on the season and Hall is playing a key role within the offense. Hall has 110 kills thus far in 2023 while hitting an impressive .324. Hall has also been a big asset defensively with her blocking, putting up 42 on the season. Currently, Hall is on a run of four straight matching hitting over .500.
84. Drew Glaser Drew Glaser 6'1" | OH Edwardsburg | 2024 State MI , OH Edwardsburg/Krush
The Eddies have been able to earn some nice wins of late, including a victory over Portage Northern. Glaser put down nine kills in that victory, coming through with some important points for her team. A real highlight of the season for Glaser was a 28-kill performance against Three Rivers. The lefty power arm was in a zone for that one.
85. Brealyn Lasky Brealyn Lasky 5'6" | S Bronson | 2024 State MI , S Bronson
The Vikings are not surprisingly playing a very competitive schedule this season, but it should once again pay off when it counts at the end of the year. Having a senior setter like Lasky helps. She’s very composed and seen it all when it comes to volleyball. Her leadership can’t be understated, but her setting is technically smooth and allows Bronson to play at a fast pace.
50. Mia Eickholdt Mia Eickholdt 5'11" | RS Country Day | 2024 State MI , OH/MH Country Day/Legacy
Eickholdt is a veteran arm for the Yellowjackets, who could be a contender in D2 again this season. Currently, she’s taking on a bigger offensive role and moving around the net due to injuries on the squad. For the season, Eickholdt has 136 kills, 77 digs, 15 aces and 14 blocks. Last week saw Eickholdt really up her game, as she had 24 kills in a five-set win over Stoney Creek and 23 kills in a five-set loss to Rochester Adams.
8. Allison Pilat Allison Pilat 6'2" | OH Plymouth Christian | 2024 State MI , OH Plymouth Christian/Michigan Elite
The Cedarville commit is living up to the hype of being one of the top players in Division 3. Pilat has a big power arm that is tough for any team in any division to deal with. She’s recently put up a 15-kill performance against Pewamo-Westphalia and a 16-kill performance against Lutheran Northwest. Pilat will continue to be a force at the net and keep PCA as a D3 contender.
