Here’s how it works: I’ll pop up a random number generator that includes the 2026 rankings. I’ll generate eight numbers and the eight that come up will be the ranking of the player. I’ll then spotlight those players in the article to help give them some more attention.
There’s 71 players ranked in our Class of 2026. Let’s see who has the lucky numbers this month:
49. Maya Zarow Maya Zarow 5'10" | OH Mercy | 2026 State MI , OH Mercy/Michigan Elite
Mercy is shooting to be a top contender in D1 and looking to get back to the top of the CHSL in 2023. Zorrow has been a steady part of the young offense for the Marlins. She’s got 118 kills on the season to go along with 126 digs, 27 aces and 11 blocks. Zorrow is showing a complete game, which gives her a high ceiling in the years to come.
21. Taylor Dahms Taylor Dahms 6'3" | MB Saline | 2026 State MI , MH Saline/L2
A 6’3” middle, Dahms has a lot of intangibles for the Hornets, which are still competing with the best teams in the state consistently. She’s getting her first taste of varsity play this season and is getting some chances to prove herself. Dahms has 39 kills with 20 blocks over 33 sets of action this season. As she continues to develop her timing and instincts, Dahms is going to be a real X-factor.
66. Liliana Gegovic Liliana Gegovic 5'10" | OH Utica | 2026 State MI , MH Utica/Legacy
Gegovic moves well around the net and adapts well to her sets. She’s still adding to her power and timing, but has the footwork and quickness to become a dominant hitter. Gegovic isn’t playing this fall for Utica, but has a lot of potential in the years to come.
64. Scout McAlister Scout McAlister 5'5" | DS/L Forest Hills Northern | 2026 State MI , DS/L Forest Hills Northern/FaR Out
Being a sophomore libero for a top D1 program isn’t easy, but McAlister is holding her own at the varsity level this fall for the Huskies. She’s been up against many of the top hitters in the state and still able to come through with a tough dig in a big point. McAlister has good reactionary skills and is able to make a last-second sprawl to make a clean dig and feed it cleanly to her setter.
7. Finley Arp Finley Arp 6'0" | OH South Christian | 2026 State MI , OH South Christian/FaR Out
South Christian is hoping to be a top contender in Division 2 again this fall and the Sailors seem to be turning a corner as of late. The 6-foot outside is already accustomed to being a big part of the offense from her freshman year. As a sophomore Arp has shown a lot of poise and composure while adding to her offensive arsenal and being more consistent defensively.
53. Emma Flick Emma Flick 5'2" | DS/L Traverse City West | 2026 State MI , DS/L TC West/Northshore
West has been able to take sets from some of the strong teams in Division 1 this year and if it hopes to continue to contend, Flick will be a big reason for it. She’s put up some huge dig numbers for the Titans during the season. That includes 21 in a three-set sweep of Alpena and 18 in a four-set win over Gaylord. Flick just has a nose for the ball and gets herself into good position to make a clean pass.
5. Meredith Martin Meredith Martin 5'7" | DS/L Marian | 2026 State MI , DS/L Orchard Lake St. Mary’s/Legacy
OLSM has been ranked near the top of Division 2 throughout the young season, as the Eaglets seem poised to be a real threat come the postseason. Though a standout defender during club season, Martin is also a reliable offensive piece for the Eaglets this fall. Martin is coming through with a handful of kills in most matches while remaining a strong force in the back row, defensively. She’s got a complete skillset that has proven very useful for OLSM.
22. Reagan Lesley Reagan Lesley 5'10" | MB Chippewa Valley | 2026 State MI , OH/MH Chippewa Valley/Michigan Elite
Lesley can play the outside or the middle, making her a valuable piece to the Chip Valley attack. Lesley is very active at the net as well, which helps her be a force with her blocking and slowing down opposing attacks. Offensively, Lesley is able to bring the ball down at sharp angles and has a technically smooth swing. When she gets on a hot streak, it’s hard to contain Lesley.
