Some say that numbers do not lie and we have the numbers that are being reported by coaches across the state. California is one of the best states in the nation when it comes to this wonderful sport and we are here to highlight all of our amazing players. Let’s meet a few of the players who are killing it on the court!
Cayley Brown [2024] 5-9 Outside (HS: Pioneer/Verbal: Uncommitted)
Cayley is currently an unranked prospect in the 2024 class according to our Prep Dig California State Rankings. She stars on the pins for Pioneer High School. Miss Brown is moving up the leaderboard in the state when it comes to kills. She currently has 246 kills on the season with a whopping .368 hitting percentage. Her awesome efficiency is helping her team to a great winning streak. She burst onto the scene last year with more of an outside hitter role and she relished in it. Cayley is on pace to dwarf her kill total from last season. In the past, she was formerly a libero so this helps her overall game and is a great reason why she is playing all the way around for Pioneer. I love that she is able to kill the ball down the line a lot, which is difficult to defend. Her ability to rise off of the ground so high and so fast is making her one of the most lethal weapons in the state of California. We will be watching her very closely throughout the rest of the season and you should also.
Savannah Thomas Savannah Thomas 6'0" | OH Rancho Christian | 2025 State CA [2025] 6-0 Outside (HS: Rancho Christian/Verbal: Uncommitted)
Savannah is currently an unranked prospect in the 2025 class according to our Prep Dig California State Rankings. She stars on the left side for Rancho Christian High School. Miss Thomas is the captain of the ship for the lady Eagles and has already shattered the amount of kills she had last season. This young lady has 253 kills on a very impressive .395 hitting percentage. She is the star of the show and no one even comes close to the amount of attempts miss Thomas has. The fact that she is so efficient with her scoring is the main reason for us to open our eyes to her. With only 50 errors on the year, she is a huge threat to anyone who steps in front of her. The six foot left side has been stellar for her squad leading the Temecula squad to a wonderful 11-4 record overall. The junior standout is also leading the team in aces, blocks, and digs. It is safe to say that they will go as far as her play will take them this season. We will definitely be watching to see how the rest of her junior season unfolds.
Cleo Hardin Cleo Hardin 6'3" | RS Menlo School | 2024 State CA [2024] 6-3 Outside (HS: Menlo/Club: Vision/Verbal: Yale)
Cleo is currently ranked as the 18th best overall prospect in the 2024 class according to our Prep Dig California State Rankings. She stars on the court for Menlo High School. Miss Hardin is also committed to play volleyball at the next level at Yale next year. She is having another solid season as she has already amassed 195 kills on an astounding .407 hitting percentage. Miss Hardin is doing this from all over the court. The Knights are running her out of the back row during out of system plays and she is scoring at will. Opponents can only hope to slow her down a little because she is one of those types of hitters who are going to score double digit kills one way or another each match. I love her picturesque approach and lightning quick arm swing as it slices through the air so fast to pound the ball with authority. If you have not seen her in action yet, I strongly encourage you to watch because she puts on a hitting show for sure. We are proud of her accomplishments and hope that you help us congratulate her on being a player to watch during her senior season.
