One of those matches was a two-set win by the Circle Thunderbirds over Rock Creek. Circle was at the Southeast of Saline Invitational that I scouted earlier in the season, but they were in the opposite pool that I primarily watched.
Here is a close look at three senior Circle prospects who had impressive matches against the Mustangs. All three are being actively recruited to play volleyball at the next level.
Mia Fox Mia Fox 6'2" | MB Circle | 2024 State KS , 6’2, MH, ‘24
Fox can crush a volleyball. She has a long reach and can jump. If she gets the angle or the opposing team overpasses against her, forget about it. Fox led Circle with 13 kills in the win against Rock Creek. She is a smart player and physically intimidating. Fox has multiple programs recruiting her including Division I and Division II volleyball program.
Jacqueline Corcoran Jacqueline Corcoran 5'10" | OH Circle | 2024 State KS , 5’10, OH, ‘24
Corcoran is not as physically intimidating as Fox, but she is quicker and jumps higher. She filled up the stat sheet against the Mustangs with nine kills, nine digs, and 15 serve receptions. She plays six rotations for Circle and has an accurate serve. Corcoran also has multiple college offers but has yet to commit.
Reagan Smith Reagan Smith 5'4" | S Circle | 2024 State KS , 5’3”, S, ‘24
Smith is a salty setter who has high-quality volleyball skills. She can also play six rotations and has a nice tip game. Smith racked up 22 assists in the win against Rock Creek. She also added eight digs, one kill, and one ace. Smith would fit in nicely with an NAIA or JUCO program.
