Here’s a look at their high school senior seasons thus far.
rnRanked No. 7 in the 2024 class, Hopkins’ Amaya Jennings remains the highest-ranked available senior in Minnesota. Jennings, 5-foot-10, has solid measurables with a 94-inch standing reach, a 114-inch block touch, and a 118-inch approach touch.
rnHer Hudl page describes her “very versatile and able to hit from all positions” and that she is “a very vocal and positive player”. Jennings’ Hudl highlights show that she has a knack for placing the ball close to the backline consistent with strong force.
Jennings uses her height and reach well around the net, which makes it difficult for opponents to get past her. She’s also willing to make scrappy plays such as diving for the ball on digs.
rnNew Prague senior right side hitter Avery Klein ranks No. 14 in the 2024 class. At 5-foot-11, Klein has a strong delivery on the attack, which challenges opponents both near the net and toward the back.
rnShe has good measurables with a 90-inch reach, a 105-inch standing block reach, and a 115-inch approach touch. She also has versatility as an outside hitter.
rnKlein says she wants to “play high level collegiate volleyball” and major in business according to her Mizuno Northern Lights profile where she plays club volleyball outside of the prep season.
rnMaple Grove senior Abigail Bulthuis mainly plays outside hitter, but the Crimson utilize her as a defensive specialist, too. Ranked No. 19 in the 2024 class, Bulthuis has a solid start to her season with 86 kills, 107 service aces, 39 digs, and 86 serves received in 30 sets played.
rnBulthuis delivers her kills with strong force and good ball speed, but she can also get the finesse kills when needed. She can also launch a kill from the back line with hitting power.
rnAt 6-foot-0, Bluthius uses her height and moves well. She has good measurables with a 93.5-inch reach, a 115.5-inch block, and a 118.5-inch approach.
Rockford’s Meghan Roggenkamp Meghan Roggenkamp 5’8″ | DS/L Rockford | 2024 State MN has good height at 5-foot-8 as a defensive specialist/libero. That height really translates to length when she’s going for digs in the backcourt.
Roggenkamp moves well, and she displays excellent reach when going for the ball. She has an 86-inch reach.
Her other measurables look good, too, with a 98-inch block jump, and an 109-inch approach jump. While she plays in the back most often, she can make plays around the next.
Roggenkamp had a career-high 36 kills and nine blocks in 36 sets as a freshman. However, she thrives in the backcourt 874 career digs and 935 career service aces.
Else Kunze-Hoeg Else Kunze-Hoeg 6’0″ | S Mounds Park Academy | 2024 State MN 6-foot-0, has height on her side as a setter for Mounds Park Academy. She moves well and is quick to the ball in the back court, and she uses her reach well to get to the ball.
Kunze-Hoeg has good measurables with a 92-inch reach, a 105-inch block jump, and a 112-inch approach jump. She also has good flexibility and can get digs when the ball is already near the floor.
