Silvia Fisher – Smithville
The sophomore had a good match against William Chrisman on Tuesday. The southpaw led the team with 8 kills from the right side with some good swings.
Tatianna Murray – Platte County
The move to the right side has paid off for Murray who was nearly unstoppable from the pin and in rotations down the middle. She had a few balls sent back at her but nonetheless, led the team with 14 kills hitting close to .300.
Jenna Wheeler – Platte County
Wheeler was all over the place defensively and took control in the back row. She had 17 digs in the match.
Avery Ashby Avery Ashby 5'10" | OH St. Pius X | 2024 State MO – St. Pius X
Ashby carried the team offensively with swings from the front and back row. As they rolled through the first two sets before dropping the third, she picked up steam in the 4th set to close the deal.
Mikalah Davis Mikalah Davis 5'9" | OH St. Michael The Archangel | 2024 State MO – St. Michael the Archangel
She got going early on Friday night with a strong first set. Davis was electric throughout the contest until hitting a road bump in the third set, which included three straight hitting errors at one point but with the team needing to get out of that rotation, she got the ball again and put one down from the right side. She finished with 19 kills.
Katie Vargo Katie Vargo 5'5" | DS/L St. Michael's | 2025 State MO – St. Michael the Archangel
Vargo may been my favorite player to watch this week. She moves so well laterally in the back row and is a vocal leader back there. She passes well and will be a player I will keep an eye on moving forward as she has a bright future.
Avry Dunn – Warrensburg
Another shout-out for a defender. Dunn did her thing keeping balls off the ground and added some great second-ball sets to her hitters.
