I say this every time I update the Illinois rankings, but its hard. There are so many great players across the state. Do we include a lot of Chicagoland kids? Yep. Do we miss players that deserve to be on the list? Yep. We are going to continue watching and seeing as many athletes as possible in Illinois throughout the fall and building up to the club season in Illinois. Here are some athletes from the Class of 2025 in Illinois I would definitely get an offer to that are making big impacts for their high school or club.

Outside Hitter

I've seen Rink play the past two years and this past club season she was up an age group on the [program_tooltip program_id='430006' first='Illini' last='Elite'] 17 Cardinal team. She is a swiss army knife type six rotation outside who can do everything. I was really impressed with all of the different shots she was able to use to score points. She is crafty, but also has the power to blast away. I'm sure plenty of Missouri Valley schools in her backyard are after her as well as others throughout the country. [program_tooltip program_id='430006' first='Illini' last='Elite'] continuously produces athletes who are next level ready.

Libero

These two athletes are some of the top liberos in the 2025 class in Illinois. Quast played for the [program_tooltip program_id='430006' first='Illini' last='Elite'] 16 Cardinal team while Schulze commands the backrow for her [program_tooltip program_id='429175' first='VC' last='United'] 161 Elite squad in 2023. They bring great floor leadership, awareness, and high level IQ. Schulze has an older sister, Kylie at Loyola-Chicago, could she be heading there as well? Liberos are usually a pick up during their 17s year of club and these two will be ones schools will be after.

Setter

I think Rice could be a steal at the next level. She has a lot of length as a setter and is able to turn and burn with a big left handed swing. During her 16s year, she was extremely dynamic for her [program_tooltip program_id='431567' first='Adversity' last=''] team where she was able to do a lot of positive things everywhere on the court. As she continues to train at a high level and improve her physicality she is going to be dangerous. Her upside is extremely high.

Setter

I'm a huge fan of what [player_tooltip player_id='288648' first='Kameron' last='Blizniak'] brings to the court. I feel like the team feeds off the energy of a setter and Blizniak brings this cool, calm, and collected vibe on the court where there is always a consistency among her and her teammates. Her 1st Alliance 16 Silver team was beating open level team last club season. With libero [player_tooltip player_id='288653' first='Ava' last='Young'] and multiple attackers to run a balanced offense, they were so fun to see compete - there was no fear in this team. Blizniak is someone who will put the ball on a dime and bring a positive court presence to the team.

Pin Hitter

Watching Wyscoki attack is pretty exciting, she absolutely flies in the air. There was a social media post of her casually approaching and touching a basketball rim. She's definitely in the ten foot club among attackers who can reach that height. The [program_tooltip program_id='432009' first='Sky' last='High'] 17s will be fun to watch with some added players to their squad this upcoming club season that includes Kentucky commit, [player_tooltip player_id='207810' first='Georgia' last='Watson']. With Watson and Wysocki on the pins this will be an extremely physical lineup.

[player_tooltip player_id='464202' first='Annie' last='Eaton'] - Quincy Notre Dame

Setter

Quincy Notre Dame is traditionally one of the top teams in their part of the state and are accustomed to deep post season runs, advancing to the elite eight. One of the top setters in their part of the state is their own, [player_tooltip player_id='464202' first='Annie' last='Eaton']. Eaton is extremely athletic where she just makes it happen on her side of the net. She is averaging over ten assists per set so far this season and will be looking to lead QND to another deep post season run.

[player_tooltip player_id='219110' first='Jorah' last='Rutter'] - Hampshire - Top Flight

Setter

Another setter to keep tabs on through high school and the start of club season, Rutter is someone who is ready for a breakout season. She has a lot of length where she can set a big block in the front row, attack, and hit all the tempos. She receives the ball high and can hit her spots to get an open attacker. At the end of her 16s year, you could see the start of an elite setter in the making. With another year of training under her belt, she will be one who will be rising among the best in the state at the setter position.
