Oklahoma High School Spotlight -Volume II

High school season is among us, and many schools have already started making an impression. Within this series we will highlight the teams and players that are out there making their statement. 

Jenks Trojans 

The Trojans are currently sitting at a 25-4 record and have a roster full of powerful players. Repping the top spot in Oklahoma 6A and in the Tulsa area, these girls are here to play and certainly have strong talent and show immense teamwork. One of many players that are coming out strong is #11 Kynli Kirkendoll Kynli Kirkendoll 6'0" | MB Jenks | 2024 State OK , who is a 6’0” middle hitter and in her Senior season. Kynli always keeps her eye on the ball and has a quick transition to make herself available as much as possible. Not only does she create a wall of a block on the front row, but her offense is just as intense as she is quick to find empty spots on the court. Maren Johnson Maren Johnson 6'0" | OH Jenks | 2024 State OK is a Senior Outside hitter that puts some real strength behind her swings. Maren has a quick pivot to her outside zone yet also has no problem stepping up to pass a ball to set herself up. Playing both front row and back row, she shows great fundamentals with her form and can bring the heat from any position on the court. Rostered as a Middle Hitter, Junior Juliana Borcher is a 5’11” front row player that is truly a dependable utility player. Juliana plays both outside and right side and loads up no matter where she is. Working with a hitting average of .204, Juliana is a player to keep your eyes out for. For the back row, Jenks has a pretty solid defense that hustles like no other. #22 Caroline Wood is a Senior libero that does not let a ball drop without a body. Consistently floating within the back row, Wood has a fast and determined reaction that is fascinating to watch. As she is averaging 3.9 digs per set, Caroline makes sure that no part of her court goes untouched. When it comes to offense, Senior setter Kamryn Bacon Kamryn Bacon 5'5" | S Jenks | 2024 State OK is a strong server that also brings energy when she takes out the other team with her aces. As a setter, she is very quick with her transitions and has good accuracy for her runs when it comes to setting up her front row. Kamryn also holds the top digs per set for the Trojans. Jenks is bringing a lot to the table and their roster shows they are in it to win it.
