Little Miami earned a solid 3-1 win over Lakota West. Ricketts, a 5’8 senior pin, had a big match as she earned a double-double with a team high 21 kills to go along with 10 digs earlier in the week. Little Miami then followed that win with another on Thursday as they beat league foe Anderson 3-1 to advance in sectional play. Ricketts is one of the best offensive threats in the ECC as she has a variety of tools that help her contribute with her arm as well as in other phases. With over 350 kills this season alone, the 1st team all-league performer from 2022 is top-four in the league offensively this season.

– River
In spite of a 3-1 season-ending loss to Conotton Valley, Hammel provided a big effort in the 3-1 defeat, setting the stage for what is ahead for her. The 5’8 freshman outside hitter delivered 21 kills, one shy of her career high, to finish her first season at 284 kills. For the match she also earned a career best 23 digs. She has an aggressive arm in the air. Her contact point can generate good pace and power when she is on time and balance.
Layne Bodie – Licking Heights
Licking Heights (13-11 overall) earned a big 3-1 win over Mt Vernon to extend their season. Bodie was big-time offensively as the junior earned a career best 18 kills on an impressive .432 efficiency. She has had a breakout varsity season as the 5’5 outside hitter is closing in on 200 kills on the season a 2.1 k/s. With 47 service aces, she is also averaging just over nine digs per match. Bodie plays bigger than her frame as she uses a high contact extension along with an aggressive swing to challenge blockers well.
