Continue ReadingIt doesn’t matter what level you play at when you think about the fact that NCAA research shows that only four percent of high school volleyball players play in college. Texas is second to none when it comes to our players earning the right to play at the next level. The offers for our wonderful Texas players keep coming. We love to see the pictures and news of these players as they are achieving their dreams. We are proud to announce some news from the recruiting front. There are three more players who have just committed to college volleyball programs recently and we would like to share the news. These young ladies have been hard at work during the club and high school volleyball season. They also have been hard at work on the recruiting scene getting offers from schools and have made their college decisions. Help us in congratulating them on the amazing news.
Brinleigh Davis Brinleigh Davis 5'9" | S Richmond Foster | 2024 TX [2024] 5-10 Setter/Right Side (HS: Foster/Club: Texas Tornados /Verbal: Colorado School of Mines)
Miss Davis is currently an unranked prospect in the 2024 Class according to our Prep Dig Texas State Rankings. She plays volleyball at Foster High School and also plays club for the Texas Tornados volleyball program. Brin is one of those setters who has a picture perfect jump set to the left side hitter. It is beautiful to watch and looks like true work of art. Her contact point does not change no matter whether she is stationary or in the air when contacting the ball. The defense never knows where she is going with the ball and to be completely honest…she has fooled me a few times when watching. She is also the type of setter to be a little risky with her set and dish the ball to a hitter that no one would think she can connect with during out of system plays. As a coach, this tells me just how well she knows her hitters and trusts her abilities. We are extremely proud to announce that she has decided to play volleyball at Colorado School of Mines. Please help us congratulate her on achieving her dream of playing at the next level.
Katherine Holtman [2024] 6-1 Right Side (HS: Argyle/Club: Dallas Skyline/Verbal: Stephen F. Austin)
Katherine is currently an unranked prospect in the 2024 Class according to our Prep Dig Texas State Rankings. She plays volleyball at Argyle High School and club for the Dallas Skyline volleyball program. Miss Holtman is a lengthy and silky smooth opposite attacker who can place the ball anywhere she wants to with power. The ability to go down the right side line with some pop is amazing to a team because it is one of the fewest attempted shots and scores so efficiently when performed at a high level. Katherine is superb at setting up the line shot with first hitting sharp angle toward the opposing setter. Her long arms allow her to be very difficult to stop because opposing blockers have to have awesome timing. We are proud to announce that she recently committed to playing volleyball at Stephen F. Austin University. She will be a great addition to their roster due to her length on the defensive end and ability to score in a variety of ways. Please help us congratulate her on achieving her dream of playing college volleyball.
Kaylee Cavazos Kaylee Cavazos 5'6" | DS/L James Madison | 2024 TX [2024] 5-7 Outside/Libero (HS: Madison/Club: South Texas Volleyball Academy/Verbal: St. Mary’s University)
Kaylee is currently an unranked prospect in the state according to the 2024 Prep Dig Texas State Rankings. She plays for Madison High School and plays club for the South Texas Volleyball Academy program. What makes Miss Cavazos special is her ability to play multiple positions on the court at a high level. She has an awesome skill set in every aspect of the game. I have watched her in person multiple times over the last few years and she is extremely consistent at helping her team stay ultra competitive in every match. It doesn’t matter whether it is attacking, serving, defense or serve receive, Kaylee will have her hands on the ball in some aspect and will contribute to her team mightily. We are proud to announce that she has committed to playing volleyball at St. Mary’s University. She will be a great asset to their program in practice, matches and in the classroom watching film. Please help us congratulate her on realizing her dream of playing at the next level.
