The undefeated mark moved them to the top of the 4A RPI today, moving past Gonzaga Prep in the computer rankings. We are looking forward to the Oak Harbor tournament this weekend where Kennedy Catholic and Columbia River have a chance to meet and play for some 4A/2A bragging rights.
Quitquit is the top-ranked setter in the class of 2026, and she has backed that up with both her play and leadership guiding Kennedy Catholic this season. She is athletic and crafty as a scorer running the 5-1 and has been stellar in finding her teammates in 1 on 1 matchups. Quitquit moves around the court smoothly and has soft hands when she dishes the ball to different spots with a great tempo. What she does as a setter should not overshadow her defensive game, Quiyquit has the grit and belief to go after and get to almost any ball in her area.
Yount is the big hammer in the middle for the squad and she is running routes behind and in front of her setter to score. Quitquit trusts Yount to score against a block, and Kennedy Catholic keeps running the middle against any competition. Yount showed off her full arsenal against Puyallup scoring on the 3, the slide, a soft tip, and from both pins. The junior is playing with a huge amount of confidence this season.
A pin attacker with setter skills and a fierce playing style, Turcinec scores with every shot in her toolbox. She will bang a swing off the block, throw a soft push to the corner, and roll a shot to an empty spot in the defense. The six-rotation 2025 prospect is energetic and keeps the team up and rolling with big swings and big plays on defense. Turcinec is multi talented with good hands and a tough serve that compliments her two way play on offense and defense.
Zeissel has seized the libero position for the Lancers and she keeps her digs high and off the net giving the team a chance to attack in transition, She has strong hands and takes balls easily overhand while still delivering accurate passes. Zeissel is also an excellent passer on free balls, an underrated skill, keeping the pass accurate and at a good height and tempo for her settter.
Fans and coaches all have those moments in matches where they just wish someone would hammer the ball and not try another shot or tip, Aubrey Mccraw Aubrey Mccraw 5’11” | OH Kennedy Catholic | 2025 State WA is more than willing to take that big swing. She has a heavy arm and can rattle the ball off or through the block on a variety of sets from the outside. Another junior on an overall young Lancers team, her ability to terminate will go a long way in propelling the team forward as the playoffs start.
