Texas HS Match to Watch: Birdville vs. Colleyville Heritage

The only team to top Colleyville Heritage in front of their fans this season, Birdville have a 26-12 win record for the season. Senior outside hitter [player_tooltip player_id='254266' first='Lyric' last='Steward'] is carrying the Lady Hawks offensively with 407 kills, besides also leading the team in blocks (57) and ranking third in passes (206) and fourth in digs (227). Junior libero Misha Jones has been a stud on the backcourt with 606 digs and 486 passes while sophomore setter Abbi Parr has been contributing all across the board, leading Birdville in assists (766) and aces (52) and ranking second in digs (332). The team has collected 33 wins and suffered ten losses in the season. Star junior outside hitter [player_tooltip player_id='180469' first='Suli' last='Davis'] has been phenomenal for them, leading the team in kills (655) and blocks (74) and ranking second in digs (400) and aces (44). A freshman, [player_tooltip player_id='433629' first='Claire' last='Bundy'] has immediately become Colleyville Heritage's starting setter, having produced 791 assists and 32 aces ahead of Friday's match. Senior right side Maddie Bird has been leading the team's serve-receive with 724 passes (besides ranking second in kills with 314), while junior libero Sarah Mendonza is their main defensive player with 558 digs.
