<p>The high school volleyball season is going at full pace in the state of Texas and during the next two months, hundreds of matches will be played across the Lone Star State until we know the new state champions.</p>

<p>Prep Dig will be covering multiple matches every week and featuring the players that stand out the most for their performances over the course of the season, but we'll also preview some matches that have the potential to be very interesting ones. </p>

<p>Round two of district play is kicking off around the state with some big matchups and here's one of them:</p>

<p>The Byron Nelson Bobcats are second in district 4 with five wins and one loss - exactly against Southlake Carroll, in five sets. That was one of just three upsets faced by the team in 28 matches so far in the season. Outside hitters [player_tooltip player_id='253981' first='Ashlyn' last='Seay'] (sophomore) and [player_tooltip player_id='180462' first='Sydnee' last='Peterson'] (junior) have been in great form for the Bobcats. Seay has been the team's main offensive piece, leading the squad with 324 kills, while Peterson is second in kills (304) and first in digs (297) and passes (324). Senior middle Nora Conway has been a force at the net with 68 blocks while freshman Sophee Peterson and senior Anna Koster split the playmaking duties, with 455 and 424 assists, respectively.</p>

<p><strong>Southlake Carroll</strong></p>

<p>The Southlake Carroll Lady Dragons went undefeated in round one of district play with six wins. In the season, the team has 21 wins and 12 losses. The Lady Dragons have a well-diversified offense, with four players registering more than 200 kills already in the season - sophomore outside hitter [player_tooltip player_id='318202' first='Layla' last='Austin'] (266), senior outside hitter [player_tooltip player_id='519522' first='Taryn' last='Barnes'] (255), sophomore middle [player_tooltip player_id='295124' first='Kinsley' last='Young'] (242) and junior outside hitter [player_tooltip player_id='180165' first='Mary' last='Beth Morse'] (214). Southlake Carroll also have two standout setters in junior Parker Tuttle (591) and senior [player_tooltip player_id='254136' first='Cat' last='Millsap'] (476). Barnes leads the team in passes (546) and digs (473), while Young is the team's main blocker, with 87 stops.</p>
