Rouse vs. Liberty Hill - October 17, 6:30 - @ Rouse HS

Rouse

The Rouse Riders from Leander are undefeated in district play with 11 victories and enter the court on a 12-match winning streak. The team has 34 wins and 11 losses in the season. The Riders are brilliantly led by senior setter [player_tooltip player_id='124128' first='Savannah' last='Skopal'], one of just four high school players in Texas to get to 5,000 assists in their careers. This season, Skopal has 1,238 assists to go with 307 digs, 131 kills, 59 aces and 58 blocks. Offensively, junior outside hitter Jade Key has been leading Rouse with 426 kills, followed by seniors [player_tooltip player_id='239065' first='Naara' last='Tanco'] (outside hitter), with 397, and [player_tooltip player_id='177532' first='Jadyn' last='Wilgus'] (middle), with 373. Junior libero [player_tooltip player_id='179911' first='Mary' last='Schirpik'] (473 digs, 570 passes) and senior defensive specialist [player_tooltip player_id='178243' first='Cameron' last='Bradley'] (357 digs, 434 passes) give them a lot of defensive strength.

Liberty Hill

The Liberty Hill Panthers are the second-best team in the district with ten wins and one loss, exactly against Rouse. The Panthers have won their last six duels and hold a 36-8 win record for the season. One of the team's strengths is its well-balanced offense, which has junior right side [player_tooltip player_id='314728' first='Taylor' last='Gaines'] (346 kills), senior outside hitter Kealy Dirner (300), junior outside hitter [player_tooltip player_id='180216' first='Annie' last='Witt'] (297) and senior right side [player_tooltip player_id='177545' first='Giovanna' last='Mason'] (291) all playing big roles for Liberty Hill. The same happens at setter, where senior Carson Glenn (580 assists) and junior [player_tooltip player_id='354307' first='Ava' last='Hight'] (577) are both very productive. Junior [player_tooltip player_id='180180' first='Brooklyn' last='Escobar'] (378 passes, 243 digs) leads the Panthers on the backcourt while junior middle [player_tooltip player_id='455703' first='Ava' last='Kostroun'] (120 blocks) can also be a difference-maker at the net.
